    When I first moved to Canada I lived in aparatment - rarely had the heating on as had people above, below and to the side heating me. Only when it was minus 20 and below the fire would be on

    Had worst winds for a while here in North Kent really blowing a gale this morning and cloudy but now died down and blue skies and roasting

    Its feeling like its approaching 30oC here in London....intense heat in the sun, doesn't feel too humid in the shade.....yet :-)

    I've friends in Fort McMurray and the stories and pictures they're sending is horrific. Utter devastation. Whilst this warm weather continues look to northern BC for the next outbreak of fires. Scary and sad times for western Canada and I have a feeling the next few months won't get any better

    Not seen the sun all day. Chilly morning, chilly now, had a few hours of warmish haze. Now raining. Disappointed is an understatement.

    Woke up and nothing s moved in the garden. We have woods behind us and all good. Heard some wind during the night but def no 87/90 as some thought. The biggest difference between 87 and many other storms is that there were leaves on the trees and saturated ground = many lost trees. Just another windy night here in North Kent

    Just had 10 mins snow shower just covered most places in finest covering and melting as soon as it stopped. Nice surprise

    I've had some great March snowfalls in North Kent - 2005 with 8 inches was a classic. Yes it doesn't hang around that long but I think given this winter if we achieved even half that for one or two days this website, and people's minds, would go into meltdown.

    If anyone was thinking it was marginal- at 600ft asl in north Kent it was all rain this morning. Shame but not unexpected. Canada in a week. If it doesn't snow there then I'll throw my toys out lol

    Spot on (for some) but by the very nature of having a like button on a post it becomes a game of ego's (again for some) Also as you stated there are some great posts and educated guesses based on what computer models are telling us. If the models were right it'd be dull everyone getting it right all the time lol
