  2. Most interesting evening/night of the year coming up for us southeasterners....maybe lol
  3. sunny again looking out over medway however another dark cloud ne from rainham/gillingham way in the sea
  4. light snow here on the eastern edge of the shower that is probably affecting chatham region...wind def picking up
  5. Looking dark to my NW suggesting showers coming on shore around Chatham/Gillingham west
  6. Nice to see all snow showers being reported....and who said it'll all be rain lol
  7. Its still blue skies here and I can the main showers just off the north kent coast to my NE but they seem to not be making it over land yet, almost like its coming up against a brick wall
  8. This looks like a direct hit for me in the next half hour and at about 450ft asl I'll let you know what I get Although people are saying it'll only be rain there are reports of snow coming in and the land is a lot cooler and with the right elevation dont rule it out
  9. lol I can see you...what big hands you have ;-) I'll be able to tell you your weather about 15 mins in advance Wow those showers are forming into ....
  10. I can see the medway towns from my bedroom window looking north. Very dark to the north west (chatham) and blue skies to the north east (rainham/newington)
  11. nice one cheers Looking like some juicy showers forming together - lets hope they have the legs to hit us
  12. That's weird - the radar from 10:15 to 10:30 onwards suddenly loses all of those potent showers to our north east in the north sea. Radar issues or totally dying out?
  13. I would say east of say Gillingham perhaps Sittinbourne at the moment but anything can change last minute
  14. Well it does show some showers popping up more on the radar over east anglia...
  15. Anomalous propagation (aka anoprop) includes different forms of electromagnetic wave propagation that are not encountered in a standard atmosphere due to a non standrad distribution of temperature and humidity with height in the atmosphere Or basically as it refers to a false radar echo ....super refraction in a temp inversion blah blah I'm boring myself lol
  16. Well this looks promising especially for higher ground in north kent if it continues the SW track (yeah I need to charge my phone lol)
  17. looks like some convection just off coast of east anglia forming a nice line sw/ne of showers from Felixstowe to Gt Yarmouth. Worth keeping an eye on?
  18. Am I right in saying 10mm of rain = 100mm of snow (approx 10 times) so 10cm's?
  19. temps decreasing as night comes and convective cooling, along with some altitude, you never know. Maybe at top of maidstone road past Bredhurst way and along to waldersalde woods and up to bluebell hill. I think north of the A2 might be too low
