  1. I was camping once and the wasp flew in to my sleeping bag and stung me 5 times. I felt the need to kill it. I don't know why you (or others) feel the need to not after being stung. That's just weird. ;-) (wasp tongue in cheek of course :-)
  2. Yes I did :-) Just increased the font just for old people with bad eye sight
  3. This is a time lapse of the last 30 days in a town in the rocky mountains in Canada....see the leaves go from green to totally gone in such a short time - its pretty impressive. http://www.lookr.com/lookout/1401205064-Canmore#action-play-month
  4. I'm in rainham tonight loads of thunder going off right now
  5. I was in the tube at 3pm today. It was like hitting a wall getting on there. Once we started end windows were open so was quite niceCurious does anyone know the highest night time minimum temperature recorded in England? Feels like we could be close in the south easy tonight
  6. Hit 36oC here driving out of London just past bexleyheath. This is hot!
  7. wow...just stepped outside from my air conditioned office in the heart of London and bam! the heat and humidity hits you like a truck with it's heaters on. Last time I felt like that was Aug 2003.
  8. Just in London and though its in the high 20's right now it doesn't feel humid and there is a nice breeze. I thought with the heat the humidity was coming or is this later?
  9. I have to agree with this. I drive from London along A2/M2 to Sittingbourne way and often temp falls by anywhhere from 2-5oC on the hot days but never as much as 10oC unless of course there are factors like fog. I'd say 32/33 London and 30/31 for most of north Kent sounds spot on to me Also seen this...London to feel like 40oC on Wednesday ...ouch
  10. Mine were both in Canada +39oC - July, 2013 -42oC - Dec, 2008
  11. You say that but I've worn my jacket virtually every morning. Once I get rid of that for a week (which finally started today) I might think its summer proper - that said it hasn't been cold during the day and 20-21 is nice
  12. Agreed certainly early days. Its like saying a thames streamer might produce 12 inches of snow. Either way it look slike summer is a coming finally
  13. I cant see anything higher than 32oC from the charts at the mo, certainly not recording breaking temps of 38oC.
  14. I'm moving and losing 35 feet in elevation. Am I the only sad one who looks at elevation when home hunting for those marginal snow events? lol
  15. Absolutely some of our best snowfalls come from this situation either from the wind gradient between high and low causing sea effect or from lows pushing up from the continent/travelling south of us introducing moisture into cold air. It can happen without much advance forecasting so never say never
  16. That wind is definitely pushing the showers onto the essex and suffolk coast right now cutting of showers to kent and looks like showers are dying in the north sea. Click to watch last hour or so (shows one hour ahead as Dutch time)
  17. Fun snow shower really came down lightly covered everywhere and whats impressive is that now its stopped but its not melting.
  18. lol well i'm getting snowed on heavily right now with it starting to stick so I'd guess something
  19. i'm just northish of Detling and its snowing a good un here and starting to stick....maybe heading your way
