  1. I know I've been looking at the radar saying 'liar!' lol if this misses us by a few miles I won't be happy
  2. Raining in Canary Wharf...reckon you'll be rain too at that height
  3. Something tells me it'll all be west of Maidstone . Nothing scientific just bad luck experience lol
  4. Fingers crossed you never know. Just a snowflake settling would be something
  5. I remember the met forecasting heavy snow one Sunday evening when I was a kid (within 12 hours) so I decided not to do my homework. Woke up and it was raining and ended the day with detention. That is why I'm always sceptical lol
  6. Thanks I thought I was missing something for Kent/Essex but can't see anything from this. Hey ho
  7. The precip looks like it's dying out. What would make it pep back up again after dark?
  8. lol we can dream i guess. One day it'll happen....been waiting here in Kent since 1987 though ha ha
  9. I heard it might snow for us in the SE tonight....wonder it will be anything like this lol
  10. Just saw BBC S.E. weather forecast and it showed fronts moving through Monday/Tuesday and all rain.....dangerous assumption surely
  11. Fancy elaborating? Snowy iyby? U.K.? How does it develop? From the east? Low from the west?
  12. It looks like its going to be east of us, shame just as the conditions are getting perfect for settling snow.
  13. Good ol rain here in east London right now...no surprises yet
  14. intensely cold is debatable lol. does feel a bit fresher though
  15. Hi :-) You never know a slight change in air temps and precip hitting the south east at the right time and it might be snow....fingers crossed
  16. I spent 4 hours cleaning/de weeding/de mossing driveway today and just as I was about to sweep the lot it poured down around 3:30 grrrr. Wasnt easy in the rain but done now phew. I'm watching the same game too....having felt this temp first hand many times that is not going to be nice! brrrrr
  17. I made a comment yesterday asking what the difference was to normal as it still looked like 7-10 days away and the cold could be gone on the next runs but being a newbie chart reader had no 'experience'. It just didn't feel right. Hopefully it flips back we'll see but big changes on the latest runs
  18. Being in the south there's something that's not getting me excited about the charts I see and the 'cold' spell. I wait to be pleasantly surprised but wont be disappointed if it doesnt materialise
  19. Jan 1987....best sea effect snows in (my) living memory in the southeast.....right on the 1020 line. (that assuming I'm talking same things (new to charts lol)
  20. cold, less cold, warm, less warm, cold, very cold? -/\/\- lol
  21. a broken watch is right twice a day.....you never know ;-)
  22. Its so much more than just getting cold in 7 days....its the the build up, the possibilities, looking at different charts, different weather systems, seeing what runs have changed, what's fundamentally changing in the atmosphere due to complex weather patterns over the other side of the world and so on and so on
  23. Fair point - don't get me wrong living in Kent and having experience the holy grail on Jan 1987 my heart skips a beat when I see that Scandi High and those easterlies form. I just hope we just get relief from the rain, a cold spell wherever it comes from then a real beast from the east to finish....not too much to ask is it? lol Latest runs do look good though so fingers crossed
