  1. I can hear loads of thunder to my SW - hoping for a direct hit.
  2. Just talking about this to someone else. It's actually quite pleasant here just hit 28oC. I'm always in west malling. I'll gladly give it a miss today though. That's hot!
  3. That is further than I thought. Yup 'only' 28oC here so think the temps over hyped for here but you're prob in the 30's no doubt. It's bad enough here
  4. Amazing what a few miles difference can do. I dont envy that you with that stiffling heat. Mind you its beginning to warm up here as the breeze dies down a bit
  5. Warming up now but still doesn't feel humid. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Somehow I think it'll be at its worst just before bed
  6. That breeze seems to be helping keep it cool for a few of us near the coast. Lovely and fresh today...so far. I bet a few miles inland it's a different story
  7. Just stepped outside and it's actually quite fresh. Very nice. Not sure it'll last with what's forecast tomorrow
  8. Nothing wrong with being an extra from the walking dead ;-)
  9. It feels a lot cooler here in north Kent. Maybe that's the wind direction change coming in off the river as only a few miles away from Thames estuary/North Sea. i might be back on here at 2pm saying I was wrong lol
  10. Strangely it was the opposite for me. All the lightning woke me up but didn't hear any thunder. Though I'm very sensitive to light so maybe why
  11. Deep stuff I'd probably be running round the garden like a 9 year old building snowmen lol
  12. Also using the matts in your car really help, pop them right under the wheels and voila, traction made and off you go.
  13. Currently in Gartcosh, Glasgow (100m asl)....can't see out of some of the windows
  14. It's fairly slow moving so if it can tie in with dusk and dew points stay low we might well get a nice covering here in north Kent. Still think prime spots would be above 300ft
  15. Elevation making a huge difference today. Around 400ft asl and higher around Medway there's a good covering of about an inch or so. Get below 300ft and nothing really
  16. If anyone is worried about snow settling on wet ground just remember last month. Hours of realy heavy rain and drenched ground. Turns to snow and settles in minutes. I wouldn't worry about that BUT its whether the snow will be heavy enough to settle anyway
  17. Smallholders then my mates pub in his garden (nice man cave)
  18. I have a feeling it'll be less than the snow last month and a very light dusting at best. We will see. I'll be walking back from the pub at around midnight so fingers crossed
  19. Raining at top of blue bell hill about an hour ago at 600ft asl
  20. 1oC and drizzling from an easterly. I'd rather have a mild SW'ly. At least then I'd be warm and wet rather than cold and wet. Bring on Spring
  21. Just had a very light snow shower in east London at sea level.
  22. At what point do we start talking sea effect snow/streamers - cold in place, warm north sea, increased winds needed for this to happen?
