Had a good storm here about 2:30. About 20 mins of CG lightning, loud thunder, hail and torrential rain. Heavens have just opened again but no thunder or lightning
14oC and drizzly here all day. Had my coat on! Shocking. My parents facetimed me from Glasgow having a BBQ and they were roasting up there. They got me back as all too often I'm sending them pics of the sun down south lol. Fair play to them - they deserve some nice weather this year
I'd be interested to see how many days we've been above 25oC in London. It feels like most days for the past month. I also think we'd be close to breaking highest minima mean as I've not slept much in a month (mind you a new baby might have something to do with that)
That's a good shout about the tourism trade. This weather is certainly helping many of the small traders. Good weather outside of the summer holidays helps immensely.
Im surprised it's still so warm though. I thought it was going to break this weekend. Still 28oC upstairs
Walking home from a BBQ last night at around midnight it was quite pleasant with a light breeze. Walk in the house and it's like the heating is on. Was going to sleep in the garden. Crazy how a house retains heat for so long.
There's some storms brewing in the distance. The mother in law has just turned up crying unannounced again the crazy bat. Hopefully she gets struck on her way out. Off to the pub
Maybe the heat's getting to me I do like Yorkshire. Was up that way last year during storm Doris. Interesting times. I love Scotland and a lot of the 'north' too just the weather is a bit too depressing for me at times
The south isn't gods own country? Hell? Weather wise or location? I wouldn't say it's hell. Bit warm maybe. One day I'll get to Sheffield. I hear the snooker tournament is a must
Isn't like that most summers? Yup blue skies and humid here. Looking at outputs relief isn't too far off from the weekend into next week for the south. Unfortunately nothing great for north
