  1. Wow so hot and humid here tonight. Hoping it cools down soon
  2. Had a good storm here about 2:30. About 20 mins of CG lightning, loud thunder, hail and torrential rain. Heavens have just opened again but no thunder or lightning
  3. Actually got sunburnt today. Got the shorts out and did the gardens. Very nice and quite hot at times. Oh how tomorrow will be different
  4. It has been really windy here the last few days but today just had coffee in the garden in the sun (albeit with some layers on)
  5. Wow - so windy. Some branches are down in the back garden. Stormy just without the rain
  6. 14oC and drizzly here all day. Had my coat on! Shocking. My parents facetimed me from Glasgow having a BBQ and they were roasting up there. They got me back as all too often I'm sending them pics of the sun down south lol. Fair play to them - they deserve some nice weather this year
  7. Big thunderstorms here right now. Lots of lightning and thunder and very heavy rain
  8. I think we've got one more day and night of the humid weather then it should start getting fresher tomorrow ....hopefully!
  9. I just saw a news article about flash flooding in tunbridge wells. Looked bad. Must have been so intense
  10. The met office would. Officially a heatwave is 5 consecutive days where temps are 5oC above the average.
  11. Wow still raining here. Been a consistent 12 hours of heavy rain. Much needed.
  12. Still bright but much cooler. Actually really quite nice. I'll cut the grass before it rains I think
  13. Sitting in the garden having a beer sweating one out. Another sleepless muggy night no doubt
  14. Same as. It's been horrendous. Too hot and humid and as for nighttime ...urgh. Only 52 days til September
  15. I'd be interested to see how many days we've been above 25oC in London. It feels like most days for the past month. I also think we'd be close to breaking highest minima mean as I've not slept much in a month (mind you a new baby might have something to do with that)
  16. That's a good shout about the tourism trade. This weather is certainly helping many of the small traders. Good weather outside of the summer holidays helps immensely. Im surprised it's still so warm though. I thought it was going to break this weekend. Still 28oC upstairs
  17. Walking home from a BBQ last night at around midnight it was quite pleasant with a light breeze. Walk in the house and it's like the heating is on. Was going to sleep in the garden. Crazy how a house retains heat for so long.
  18. There's some storms brewing in the distance. The mother in law has just turned up crying unannounced again the crazy bat. Hopefully she gets struck on her way out. Off to the pub
  19. Maybe the heat's getting to me I do like Yorkshire. Was up that way last year during storm Doris. Interesting times. I love Scotland and a lot of the 'north' too just the weather is a bit too depressing for me at times
  20. No high horse here merely asking a question. Good to know about gods own county. I'll stick to the garden of England I think but sounds lovely.
  21. The south isn't gods own country? Hell? Weather wise or location? I wouldn't say it's hell. Bit warm maybe. One day I'll get to Sheffield. I hear the snooker tournament is a must
  22. My parents have been down south for the last month and left today at 28oC. They said they've got to the NW and it's 16oC! Slight difference
  23. Isn't like that most summers? Yup blue skies and humid here. Looking at outputs relief isn't too far off from the weekend into next week for the south. Unfortunately nothing great for north
