  1. Full on snow then it stopped. Colder air and heavier showers are taking effect.
  2. Starting to see a few flakes of snow amongst the hail and sleet.,
  3. A distinct split in the Ensembles around the 28th These look like sets of ensembles from December and earlier this month, a 5 day mild spell and then a dip to below average. If the pattern repeats we should start to see the jet take more of a NW/SE trajectory allowing more PM air over the UK.
  4. Sorry I missed your post, but for the south of our region its for areas east of Oldham Rochdale and Burnley
  5. New weather warning for the extreme east (south) of our region for today / tomorrow 3-7 for low lying areas and 10-15 for higher areas Warning from 11am to 11pm Friday https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?region=nw&date=2018-01-18&regionType=area
  6. Just thinking the same.... im to far south but Lancaster area looks good now.
  7. Last forecast on bbc shown lots of shower for our region tomorrow and friday snow mot exclusive ro the hills
  8. The snow has filled in all that had melted only to melt later. Radar has another band moving notth from north wales which will probably introduce the mild uppers
  9. It's going to be expensive to make a forecast for each area of the NW of England
  10. The Strong winds help create the showers or without the strength of the winds would we have seen just as heavy but slower moving showers?
  11. Maybe an hour or two for high ground but the boundary will be between Carlisle and Kendal and even here high ground will be needed
