  1. Why not? It was fascinating.. and I'm sure it wasn't severe enough to cause any damage.
  2. Am I the only one who thinks that experiance was better than sex?
  3. 15 miles NE of Lincoln.. that makes it 25 miles from here. WOW
  4. Looks about right.. it was pretty severe here.
  5. Felt it here at 00.58... house and windows shaking. Fascinating experiance. :o
  6. Rain just got heavier here and has turned to sleet. Gritters now out.. which seems encouraging. Might get an hour or so of wet snowfall in the next few hours.
  7. Gutted.. I'm in Newark.. it seems to be snowing in all areas between 10-15 miles west from me. Oh well.. I should be used to it by now!
  8. Heavy rain here, with temperature around 4C, dropping steadily. Not expecting anything more than rain tonight though.
  9. A real wintry mix here! Last shower was prolonged, and was really trying to settle. And yes! Today I have seen the closest thing to a blizzard I have ever experinced in Newark. Shower went extemely heavy, and wind speeds must have doubled! Visibility was down to maybe 20 meters at most.
  10. An Easterly is really the only time we see anything. I remember getting 30+ snow showers in the course of 12 hours, it amounted to only a few inches! To be honest I'm in a terrible location for most setups. Just to far inland for Northeasterlys, so the winter here is generally mild, and when we get cold spells it's sunsine, isolated showers, and night frosts.
  11. I hope your right, but away from Wales and high ground in the Midlands it's likely to fall as rain, possibily preceeded by sleet.
  12. I'm so envious. It rained almost none stop here from mid-day to 7pm, with a short interval between 3-4pm. Finally turned to wet snow shortly after seven, and decides to start sticking just as the band is moving away - UNBELIEVEABLE! Edit - Whats your snow depth now?
  13. 3 hours of rain, now we have had an hour of snowfall. Weird really.. larger flakes were not settling and now it's smaller flakes and lighter snowfall it's readily settling on most surfaces. Definate temperature drop in the last hour, but I expect them to rise before the next band arrives, therefore I expect rain tommorow morning.
  14. I'm not trying to cause a problem, but I vote that he should be allowed to carry on. He has been relatively close with his predictions so far, and afterall.. freedom of speech and all that?
  15. Bit harsh if I may say so Paul.. Anyway back to the weather! Snow is remaining moderate, yet strangely it's starting to stick to all surfaces. Just typical, as the heavier stuff passes through we get non-settling snow, now we have light to moderate falls and every flake is sticking on wet ground!
  16. Only on the snow that had settled yesterday, topped that up a little. Turned to snow in Lincoln yet?
  17. Just to confirm, are the chances of snow at low levels from this second band moving in practically nil for the north midlands (such as north nottinghamshire?). It's a real shame, just turns to snow and seems to be getting somewhere, and the band looks set the move away from here within the next hour.
  18. Massive flakes here now, not making any impact on the wet ground but it's nice to see none-the-less.
  19. Waheyy!! Finally it has turned to snow here in Newark!
  20. I'm starting to think not... but I guess the next few hours could prove me wrong. We shall see.
  21. Snow really is wierd.. how can it be snow north, south, east and west of me, but it seems there is a 20-30 mile round radius which is getting sleety rain?
  22. You think so? Ok.. it's cheap, but it's still inaccurate. 5 hours of rain showing as snow throughout on the precipitype radar?
  23. Exactly, I tried it last year and thought it had improved so bought for another year.. obviously not. It really is poor.
  24. Ignore that lol, it shows my area having snow for the past 5 hours, and its been rain. Just starting to turn from sleet to snow now.
  25. Hmm.. big flakes now mixed in with the rain.. and darkness has fell upon Newark On Trent.. chances?
