    I know I'm in a good place for the snow, with an advanced warning being given for Nottinghamshire. Local forecasts suggest we are in the best area here in the Midlands, where 10-15cm is possible... and the Met-Office back this up too.. :blush:

    Rain showers from 3-6pm here got me angry as I saw the snow cover vanish, but just had a nice prolonged snow shower, which has resulted in dusting. Surprising really, settling on pretty wet ground, but I'm not complaining! Looking at the radar, I won't see much tonight, but it's just nice to get a little taste of winter at last.

    Woke to find a 4cm covering this morning. Unfortunately it started to melt around midday, so we were down to maybe 2cm's by 3pm. And now, it's raining. BUT we still have around 2cm's or so of level lying snow.. so it's not too bad.

    Moderate to heavy snow been falling for well over 1 hour now, 3cm's lying.. not bad for 14m above sea level!

    Heavy snow here, first of the winter! Been going 5 minutes, and we have a near whiteout!

    Brief light snow shower just passed through, gave a minor dusting. Looking at the radar I could be getting several light showers throughout the night, as my area seems to be just inside the cut of point before the showers die away.

    Very dark with constant thunder/lightning here with torrential rain, streets and gardens flooded, especially outside my back door!

    Grey cloud here with a temperature of -0.9C. Snow looks like its around 10 miles due west of me.. but the band has now stalled.

    Heavy rain throughout the day, with a temperature of 4.3C and slowly dropping away now, forecasts going for wintry showers tonight.

    Overcast with persistant rain at times, currently dry. Around 7C.

    Clear skies here with a temperature of -1.8C and dropping like a stone.. radar shows a shower moving SE is my direction.. and it seems to be intensifying, wierd as I thought they would die of now the sun is down.

    Light snow falling here now, looks like the band is just clipping me now. Expecting a good hour or so of light/moderate snowfall.. Temperature now just 0.4C and dropping like a stone.. :blush: : EDIT: Heavier now like a blizzard, small flakes.

    Blue skies with a temperatue of -0.2C which is now slowly rising, im expecting the first showers to arrive here around 2pm.

    Very light snow falling here now, around 50 flakes per minute.

    Every 10 minutes relatively light snow showers are passing through here, have been doing for the last 30-45 minutes now. A great ending start to the day, to say the BBC werent expecting showers to devlop as widely as this inland.

    The third short burst of moderate snow, but once again not lasting for more than a few minutes. Nice to see though, my hopes were down this morning when I noticed the showers only hugging the eastern coast.

    Just had the lightest snow shower ever, lasting no more than 30 seconds.. The more threatening clouds passed either side of me.. just my luck. Hopefully inland convection will keep up for the next few hours bringing me a few light snow showers..
