The frost and ice will disappear as the UK is buffeted by wet and windy weather from the Atlantic. It will be milder, especially in the south on Saturday.

Cold next few days, but the damp weather easing to drier and sunnier weather on Wednesday. However, wet and conditions will arrive Wednesday night and prevail through Thursday easing to showers on Friday. It will turn milder later in the week though.

The UK's sixth warmest autumn on record finished with much colder weather, which has continued on into December. The wintry conditions will continue with further snow in places but gradually milder air will move up from the SW during the coming days.

The Arctic chill continues with frost and a risk of ice. The showers fade from eastern Britain but appear around the Irish Sea, then for southern counties, of rain and sleet.

For the last day of November, it wasn't just Scotland seeing the snow showers. Parts of Cornwall had a covering of the white stuff too. More cold air to come.

A cold picture today, and as we head into the weekend, with widespread overnight frosts, fog along with some sleet and snow - particularly in the north and east, and for today, parts of southern England.

A look at what will be a be a generally cold week ahead. Rain clearing south Monday then turning colder from the northeast into Tuesday. Many places staying dry rest of the week, but there will be some wintry showers and potential for spell of rain, sleet and snow on Thursday in the south.

High latitude blocking is set to be a major player in the UK's weather during the remainder of November and into December. It's a generally cold pattern, but early in the season with warmer than normal seas, it's not likely to be a clear-cut, cold and snowy picture countrywide.

Widespread frost for Saturday morning although with lighter winds and late autumn sunshine. An Atlantic low will bring more cloud then rain for Sunday to western parts.
