  1. High pressure over alaska trying to link up with our russian high, could get a complete split of th northern hemisphere polar vortex soon
  2. 144h looks very good. Good angle of attack plus a slider looks likely from the NW on next frame
  3. Looking at 12z gfs esembles and quite frankly all over the place by 192h...
  4. This upcoming wintry weather from the north west over the next week or so has 'otley gap' written all over it Should be plenty of heavy snow showers rattling through if the latest charts are to be believed. Nice little gap in pennines that locally my location can do quite well.
  5. 178h not too shabby! Frerquent heavy snow showers rattling in from the north west, western scotland and northern ireland getting a pasting!
  6. Just look at last year, seemed like forever to kick in the SSW, then last few days of februrary into march we got hammered with some historical cold!
  7. Seems like the charts are stuck on day 10, when will this change
  8. Your in a good location nearly 700 ft up, no wonder its good to you .
  9. Says the front is one to watch, but didn't mention much in the way of snow apart from mainly high ground in wales and over the continent.
  10. Rather underwhelming weather for week ahead. ''Milder weather from friday..''
  11. Very true, 1st march last year. Heavy snow and max of -3c !
  12. Looks good to me, looks like where about to become locked in a sustained cold pattern. Snow chances could pop up from just about anywhere!
  13. My bad, I was looking at it from an IMBY perspective lol. Does look good for your location though so you are right in what you say
  14. Problem is the main ban of precipitation will have cleared most areas by then, this is good in terms of chances of snow showers settling though
  15. Crucial ECM coming up, It's hanging on a knife edge! I still think were 60-40 in favour of deep cold and an easterly feed of some sort in the future.
  16. For me this is better than the last ECM run so far. There is noting worse than a sinking scandinavian high with deep cold passing to the south of us!
  17. Don't kniow what all the fuss is about? Like a load of old women in a bingo hall worrying they haven't got there tickets in time on here at times! Looks good to me : ) )
  18. To be honest I've seen a lot better and 19/20 don't come off. Good to see though this afternoons output
  19. I wonder if the low out in the atlanyic is about to link up with the low over europe dragging an even stronger/colder easterly in!
  20. As my inactivity on here would suggest and for a fair few others two, I don't see anything over the horizon yet apart from typical uk winter weather, nothing special. The conclusion to be taken from the charts in a semi-reliable timeframe at the moment is cold shots from a north/north west/west source, interspersed with milder wetter interludes. What we are all looking for is major blocking over greenland/scandinavia with deep cold advected over our shaws.. Only the ECM comes close to that and my got feeling will be a backtrack on the next ECM output. Hope I'm wrong and the ECM produces another beauty with gfs following behind but I really can't see it. Not saying we won't see stellar charts in the future but, for now it's still a waiting game!
  21. Look at rain radar and sat 24 it may not be game over yet for south and west yourkshire.
  22. The area of storms over northern england seem to be expanding a little further west you can see the massive storm on sat 24 growing still
