    The way things are going we're in for a fair amount. Very optimistic for High Wycombe, Reading, Marlow, Slough, Aylesbury, Thame.. I think Luton/St Albans will be towards the Eastern extent of things.. Just a matter of watching the radar and hoping for the best really! Some very intense precip. moving into Portsmouth, anyone know any cams there?

    For once I think you guys are gonna get less than me here in Aylesbury! I remember always being fed up when I was younger going to school and hearing the people from MK couldn't get in because of the snow! Haha.

    Been snowing for a while in Aylesbury, Bucks. All settling, ~1cm on the ground.

    Hearing that about the NAE is pretty awesome. Hopefully I see a snowfall like I've never seen in my 19 years on this planet! Looking promising!

    The latest GFS seems to show the big blog pretty much over us here? (Aylesbury, Bucks).. Tonight's sure gonna be interesting.

    Yeah, the amount of snow forecasted is actually almost worrying. I've never seen that much snow in the UK in my life.

    For this event it should be split into three areas really.. As it's going to be very varied as to who gets snow etc. I'd say something like one for Home Counties, one for London/rest of south east and one for EA or something.

    Unfortunately for us in the home counties/south east/EA the agreement from all the models is for it to go west. The GFS earlier was out on a limb in sending it East anyway.

    I'd say we've been pretty lucky in this cold spell so far! First all the snow in dec before christmas.. Now looks like it matters not whether it goes East or West we're in for a pasting.

    I'm trying not to get too excited but it's hard.. That 12z run for tomorrow is staggering (IMBY anyway).. With all this snow cover and the slack easterly flow coming in etc, surely there must be a chance of temperature records being broken? (or at least coming close to the current records, anyway).. Wouldn't be suprised to see the odd -20 or so come up in the snow fields.

    I'm in the middle of the big green splodge.. I won't hold my breath yet though.

    I'm afraid that the glaciers will most probably be moving in the other direction anyway. Glaciers from the west would be quite a treat. Haha..

    2 degrees here with light rain. Snows starting to melt too.. Still can't see the grass though.

    Snows stopped in Aylesbury, after hours of constant snowfall. Amazing.. Another couple of inches.. To think I wasn't even expecting snow today yesterday! Looking to wednesday night now...
