Perhaps November will be different!….well at least it won’t be October! But seriously, the GEFS 12z mean, longer term hints something cooler once the trough pulls away to the north east with a hint of mid Atlantic ridging to follow?… ..now I’m really entering the realms of fantasy!..to insinuate we might see a cooler NW’ly flow in early November…that’s desperate!

Wow, I cannae believe I’m looking at the CFS for salvation!.. …but hey, winter is still over 1month away!…hiccup.. …cheers!

P20 take a bow! .. there is at least a modicum of support from the GEFS 6z for the operational, plus a few others on a similar track!… i hope we see several early tastes of winter before winter arrives!…I’m probably deluded, but at least I’m happy.. or am I?.. !

Hey, I like Bungle!!! … Anyhoo, the Gem 12z ends with something of a north / south split..temperature wise! .. that’s all from me folks…

Essentially the ECMWF 12z operational is rather cool / average and unsettled apart from some early transient ridging further south and with a moment of warmer air from the south!… it’s all rather typical for further into October is it not? … anyhoo, it inches us closer to winter which is all I care about!!!!.. call me crazy.. yes….. I’m a deluded coldie!

I can see the coldies are itching for some cold charts?… …actually, I can’t see anything! , I’m like blind pew!..I have no idea what anyone wants on here!..so I will shut up now.. .. I hope I see a rainbow though..

Would it be fair to say the Gfs 12z operational is a generally unsettled run with a dash of explosive cyclogenesis thrown in for good measure… hmmm? …but hey, we are well into autumn now so what do we expect? .. …roll on winter! ️

For those who don’t like unsettled..or cold.. …P23 GEFS 12z ain’t bad longer term innit!! … joking aside, it could just as easily be an Indian summer in the second half of October as something unseasonably cold! …I say, save the cold Synoptics until it can actually deliver something meaningful!…anyone agree?

The Gfs 12z operational, albeit changeable, doesn’t seem as unsettled.. or cold as some previous runs?..and ends rather anticyclonic!.. to me, I’m not fussed about early toothless cold, I want cold at the business end of the process, when it actually delivers the goods.. in winter!

Indeed, no bearing whatsoever on winter!....anyway..the 6z op looks rather changeable / unsettled to say the least!

My passion is the weather, that’s why I joined netweather!!… …the Gfs 6z op is a mixed bag…trough / ridge / trough / ridge.. trough!!!…but really.. this is Shirley the norm? seriously Shirley?.. in October.. pfft..nuff said innit!

The GEFS 6z mean..so far…..screams, north / south split.. north / south split…do I have to be more specific.. ??!!!! …nuff said!

Wow, I cannae wait for winter, autumn is as dull as dirty dish water on here!..anyhoo, the Gfs 12z operational is a mixed bag of a run, trough, ridge, trough, ridge…you get the picture! …at least there’s some residual warmth and largely dry weather next week further s / se with temperatures nudging into the low 20’s Celsius at times but much cooler further nw…indeed, the nw bears the brunt of the unsettled North Atlantic for most of the run and then the run ends widely unsettled.. I feel this is par for the course in early / mid October?…but some will disagree?!.. variety of opinions is the spice of life innit!!!!??
