  1. Yeah Meto have put up a sneaky little warning for Northern parts of EA for potentially heavy snow showers, always a chance they haven't quite nailed this and possibly our region could get something - especially out towards S Essex/Kent.
  2. Yeah looks like they just changed it unfortunately, that new forecast is pretty ghastly actually.
  3. Feel a bit like I've just had a wonderful weekend holiday and i'm now being dragged back home. Snowman's head fell off 20 mins ago which traumatized me a little and made me feel properly miserable, but then saw Paul's posted Meto update and WOW!! things still look great for this region, dont put away the sledges just yet Edit: Just seen the Meto update at 12:22pm = ha could flip flop though. .
  4. Yeah just crept up above freezing here, but we've got our Snowman up which guarantees at least a ball of scruffy looking ice sticking around for at least 2 weeks even if the Atlantic comes in - mwahahaha
  5. Wow that's great Kold, considering I was beating you by about 3cms at around 1.30am and now it looks like you ended up beating me by 1cm or 2. We topped out at around 12cm here. What a great night eh guys, I know a few poor folk to the South of region got a bit unlucky but it's great that London, Essex and most of Kent landed a big one.
  6. I measured on concrete 11.4cm about 20 mins ago here in Leytonstone, must be nudging 12cms now, had 20p's pelting down but just the las 5 mins it's been moderate half-5p's. We might just get to 15+cms before this is done!
  7. Current official Leytonstone E11 Snow Depth = 11.4cm (concrete), , , , still pelting 20ps!
  8. 8-9cms here in Leytonstone roughly, will be doing official snow depth within the hour
  9. Grass tops long gone here in E11 Leytonstone, about 5cm, coming down just nice at the mo. London's nailed this one
  10. I think someone needs a new radar, NW free radar has intensified precip on 20:45 update http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=radar;sess
  11. snowing here in Leytonstone - E11 Definitely a Bonus Band this one as main stuff wont get here til 8pm - rock on
  12. Dont worry, the NAE 12z is a HUGE UPGRADE - Most of London and pretty much the whole region will have a 13 - 18cm Snow pack by the time any light rain comes through (if it does turn to rain at all!)
  13. That's lovely, brings London and South of the region into the Heavy patch.
  14. No still doesn't look right to me, is it based on any charts in particular or just guessing?
  15. No it doesn't look right at all, NAE shows 11cm in places where he's got a 1cm yellow box, probably be better off looking at GFS predictions http://www.weatherweb.net/tvweather/uksnow24.gif
  16. Great, when are you doing the London analysis for the other 10 million in the SE? :winky:
  17. Ah sorry didn't realise it was yours, wouldn't have been so impolite. It's cool anyway, I was just being picky.
  18. lol why would anyone pick a profile picture that showed a map with rain and nothing in the SE when it;s meant to be a SE snow fan page, nuts.
  19. The spanish HIRLAM model, which is apparently a Hi-Res and uses ECM data shows a tasty blob of precip floating down the Eastern side of England with our name on it overnight Sunday into Monday, IF it's snow (uppers around -4) then might help top up the snow pack in time for the Monday commute It also gives the precipitation this evening a bit more ooomp, perhaps East London getting sprayed with a few white bits too:
  20. You're a nice guy Coast, thanks, I hadn't interpretated all information on the chart correctly From both accumulation charts it looks like 10cm very widely, i'm gonna wax the sledge
  21. That looks like a steaming load of crap unless you live in the east tip of kent, is the preceeding frame available ? thanks
