  1. Don't mind the little garden and window spiders - it's the common house spider that gives me the creeps. House spider season almost upon us!
  2. Looks pretty good, 17-21C across most of England and Wales, very pleasant and usable weather. Perfect, bring it on.
  3. Perfect conditions this morning. Why does anyone need it hotter? The last two days have been absolutely ridiculous. The weather is not useable, everyone in the family has been grumpy. Thankfully it's all over now, and we've got more normal and useable summer weather.
  4. Looking at rain-alarm.com and the front appears to be moving in quite quickly now - hopefully not long before it arrives in Yorkshire, perhaps 5-6pm?
  5. To quote my own post, the hourly temps in my garden have been: 08:20 24.5C 09:20 25.4C 10:20 27.5C 11:20 28.3C 12:20 30.4C 13:30 33.0C
  6. Won't the less hot air mass have taken over by then?
  7. No they are not! There's a warm (not hot) spell at the weekend, but the general picture is for a westerly regime.
  8. Currently 27.5C at 10:20 in my garden in Wakefield Up from 25.3C at 09:20, and 24.5C at 08:20 Skies are not blue, but have high level milky cloud.
  9. A very uncomfortable nights sleep! Overnight low in Wakefield on my weather station was 23.3°C Got woken up with rain at 06:25. I guess it’s not going to be around for long. Let’s see what the temps get up to today, but looking forward to the cool down!
  10. Hopefully not. The vast majority of people in the country won’t be enjoying this and will be wanting more normal temperatures to occur. You just can’t do anything other than sit around indoors. Thankfully the models are going for a much more pleasant wind direction.
  11. Peak temperature in Wakefield on my garden weather station today 33.8°C
  12. 29.5C in Wakefield on my garden weather station at 13:40
  13. Wakefield, Eve Weather Station in the garden (shaded). Top temperature yesterday (Sun 17/07) 29.1C Overnight low 23.0C Current temp (Mon 18/07 at 10:52) is 25.1C
  14. They're saying on the model thread it's a massive outlier. It's one run out on its own at the minute. Everything in a generally Westerly regime from Weds onwards, but with the pool of heat over Europe it won't take much to be back into a hot spell again (unfortunately for us in this thread!)
  15. Top temperature on my Eve Weather in the garden yesterday was 29.1C at 15:40 Had an overnight low of 23.0C Currently 24.0C as of 08:50 Be interesting to see what we get to today, but overall I'm counting down the hours to Tues night/Weds morning!
  16. 48 hours to go thankfully. Can’t wait for Wednesday.
  17. For the record, top temperature recorded in my garden today in Wakefield was 29.1C Currently 27.2C at 21:27
