  1. BBC weather on tv just now did not even mention tuesday evening/ wednesday morning and nothing about possible travel disruption, do they know something we dont.
  2. looked at the met site for our area early this morning and it said heavy snow for wednesday am, now they have changed it to only light snow and not even in the warning, hopefully they dont really kinow yet
  3. have looked at warning and If a line was drawn from approx herne bay to sandwich then east of that is not included in the warning
  4. when you look at that (allthough I know it could change with luck) once again Thanet is in the clear section at the tip of east kent the gfsp shows heavy snow across us for 2200hrs tuesday
  5. thats the one big problem with snow and that is hoping it doesnt melt very quickly
  6. it must have been very local because here on the borders of margate/ramsgate all we had was sleet and then rain
  7. Im sorry to sound negative about all this but allthough friday looks amazing for most people, once again thanet is not included in that chart, what will it take !!
  8. how ironic....the radar image shows the snow (pink) over essex and then as it reaches the thames estuary the whole mass turns green(rain to snow) !!
  9. it looks to me as though that band of snow on the radar is breaking up/weakening as it gets towards kent, apart from that we had a hard frost here in ramsgate last night and some lovely winter sunshine now
  10. i know this sounds selfish, but I am glad that I am not the only one feeling the pain lets hope overnight thing change for the good
  11. the front on the radar to my untrained eye seems to be breaking up as it comes towards thanet (not surprised)!!
  12. a little way back steve said he was having a break for a few days
  13. in reply to previous question, go to very top of page and click on your name, scroll down to" ignored user" and then follow instructions
  14. sounds good, l just hope from an imbyism point of view it delivers to thanet as well this time
  15. well this is Thanet and as I said yesterday,we need our own weather forecast but hopefully the way things are going we could be in with a shout from next week with SNOW !!!
  16. as usual, the band of precipitation is totally missing Thanet on the radar, could somebody explain this as we seem to need our own weather forecast and it happens quite frequently, is it possibly because we are surrounded by water on three sides ?
  17. they have dropped the bit about it "becoming cold or very cold" otherwise no change mulzy beat me to it !!
