  1. RAF Waddington reporting Freezing Fog and Light Rain with a temp of -3 and DP of -4 , goes to show how warm those 850 uppers are at the moment .
  2. Not sure to be honest mate, touch and go, the good thing in our favour is the precip is forecasted to be heaviest just to the east of here between 9pm and 12pm.
  3. It was always going to be very marginal on the eastern side with the warm sector, though it will get mixed out in any heavier precip, although temps and dp's in Lincs look favourable at the moment there is a rapid rise to the south and east, most places to the west of the A1 in Lincs & Yorks should do ok, in fairness most places are reporting rain to start with graduall turning to sleet and snow the further west you are, the only encouragement for those in the east is the warm sector will peak around the Lincoln area before moving east into the N.Sea, those further North in the East may still get snow.
  4. Thanks Stewart, certainly no blowtorch on the horizon.
  5. You could end up with a bit more yet if that band over the borders makes it's way to you as it is moving south and east.
  6. Could be a good snow event tonight for those in the west and north of W.Yorkshire, showers should peak around midnight before gradually dying of towards dawn  .
  7. A bit far out but El Classico setting up? If it comes of someone's going to get a serious amount of SNOW http://91.121.94.83/modeles/gfs/run/gfsnh-0-168.png?12
  8. Last couple of runs the GFS has trended this scenario. Think it was last nights 18hrs run and now. http://91.121.94.83/modeles/gfs/run/gfsnh-0-204.png?6 One major snowstorm if that comes of! Longshot but worth keeping an eye on.
  9. Ok mate, i've had about enough of the models and radar tonight, here's to the trend of keeping it cool/cold over the next few days esp xmas , models hinting at a possible re-load into the new year .
  10. Whilst it is pivoting it is also starting to move east, thick fog here now
  11. Yeah i live around a mile from there, we've got around 5-6cm on the ground.
  12. Yup, getting rather Misty Foggy here. Rime all over the trees . Close but no cigar
  13. There's a deep Orange glow to the South & East now, have a funny feeling it will just miss this area!
  14. Keep us updated, at this rate i'll be turning my attention to the lit up post jobby .
  15. The Northern edge is now pivoting well, approaching the Humber Estuary now.
  16. One thing you can't alter and that's the weather , surprised at the front still heading slightly N/Westwards in the Lincs region, can't be that far of Lincoln now.
  17. You may find it has warmed up a bit due to the cloud moving up from the South, we was -3.5 just after dark and now it has risen to just below freezing.
  18. C'mon Andy, what's happening? Now showing precip over LE3!!
  19. That's bloody unlucky there , i've just run through the animation for 2hrs and i bet you've torn all your hair out  !! I'll say you'll get something very soon .
  20. Don't look at the latest GFS run at 192 to 216 hrs, that is a major blizzard progged there , way too far out in FI given the complex synoptics, but nice to see . http://91.121.94.83/modeles/gfs/run/gfsnh-0-204.png?12
  21. Temp-3.4 DP -4.9 , the cloudbank to the south hasn't moved any further North in the last 20-30mins, some mega low temps in prone areas tonight (Vale of York etc).
