  1. Good morning! Temp: 1C feels like -1 Wind: 5 mph (looks very still, nothing moving Visibility: VG Pressure: 1026 Humidity: 96% My car still iced up but frost thawing from garden where the sun reaches. Beautiful day.
  2. My sense of October is of a cloudy and windy month, with the exception of the last few days when the sun came back and my area had a few, perfect, warm but crisp Autumn days. Today has been sunny, a bit chilly out of the sun but perfect for the country walk I had. High of 14C, very little wind at 5mph. Good visibility and another beautiful sunset. A great start to November..
  3. Evening Paul, I managed to upload some photos onto a couple of threads and to the gallery, although couldn’t set a new album to put them in, although suspect that was me doing something wrong... I can even upload to this page ( my puppy was watching Billy Connolly with me a few months ago). Thank you for whatever you did Paul, much appreciated.
  4. Hotel Labrador, Chamonix, overlooking golf course with Mont Blanc backdrop
  5. A lovely sunny day, quiet this morning but wind increasing from lunchtime and now chilly enough to light the wood burner. Temp: 11C after a high of 14C earlier Wind: 15mph, gusting to 32 Pressure: 1021 Humidity: 82% Visibility: Very good Beautiful sunset again (I’m lucky enough to have a west facing back garden). Have zoomed in on second photo, although my iPad didn’t pick up how red the sky was!

  7. Sorry Paul but I can’t upload anything again now. Have given up trying to create a new album with photos of Chamonix and Mont Blanc.
  8. If I’d had the foresight to wear those shoes they would have at least plugged me into the soft grass and given better stability in those gusts
  9. Too windy to stand still at dog training earlier. Constantly having to step back or forward to remain stable. Now, at home in west facing garden (with open land beyond) it’s two/three steps to stay upright when putting away garden furniture. No idea of wind gusts; only expecting 46 but it’s certainly blowing out there. Sunny with racing clouds - a fab day!
  10. Wind has abruptly returned, pressure dropping. The brief, still, crisp Autumn hours are sadly over.
  11. So am I. Haven't seen a 50, let alone anything over that, since I moved Down South from Scotland (Hurricane Bawbag was a highlight (nightmare), creeping home from work, south on the M77, over Eaglesham Moor at almost 1,100 feet asl is something I'll never forget). Brian won't produce 50 for my area unless it hits much further south than most models predict.
  12. Ahem, 95 I'll have you know; and one has to keep up with the current psychopaths. And, if you remember the two photos back in 2006 in the members photo thread, my Italian diet all helps with that age
