    Morning Light covering overnight leaving the world white - will take some pics before work if I get chance. Currently -0.6c DP -1.1c

    Are you still Dover way? It’s about 3c down at town level but 1c up on the hills so it’s been snowing for a while. Need it to drop a bit further for it to lay though.

    Snowing here now (Hawkinge, near Folkestone for those on phones) - still 1.1c DP 0.9C

    The line of precipitation seems to be taking its time to get this far east...didn’t think it would struggle so much to get here. 1.2c dew point 0.9c so think it would be snowing if only it would arrive

    I’m not mentioning it to anyone at work today. Trying to get it to snow to spite me for not telling anyone it might Coldest night of the year here at -3.4c before it clouded over. Now much warmer at 1.8c...hopefully it’ll stop rising soon!

    True - but haven’t you seen the wrath that ensues when a MCS comes up from France in the summer only to veer off to the east at the last minute, giving a classic Kent clipper? Currently -0.8c DP -4.8c and clear...lots of stars tonight

    Don’t tell him! You’ll jinx it all otherwise It’s my son’s 12th birthday next Monday and he’s so keen to get a snow day. I won’t confirm anything until it’s falling out of the sky

    Morning Nothing resolved overnight I see...such an interesting time model watching it nothing else. Temperature dropped sharply since midnight - currently 2.1c with a DP of 1.1c

    Morning Clear and cold here this morning, Currently -2.3c with a DP of -2.7c. Looks like the precipitation is fizzling and drifting south east so might miss here but not too worried seeing next week’s trends!

    Thanks Tom, some lovely anecdotes! A high of just 1.0c here today, came home from work early at lunchtime due to a mid-afternoon appointment to find our footsteps out to the car had been snowed over! All in all I think we had 2cm from last night and this morning’s snow which isn’t too shabby! Currently overcast, temp -0.2c and DP -0.4c

    Morning Looks like a slight covering, roads driveable. Currently -0.1c DP -0.3c overcast and wind getting up.

    Thanks Tom! Currently 0.7c here with a DP of 0.3c and it’s SNOWING!! Only light snow and not laying yet but I’m happy all the same....was saying goodnight to my 11 year old at the time. Asked if that meant he could have tomorrow off school as surely the bus can’t get him down the hill. Mentioned I can drive in the snow...don’t think he believed me!

    Great to see some are finally getting a bit of snow! Been hoping the channel stuff would rotate up but it’s just skimming me. The lighter echos aren’t reaching the ground either so now hoping the precipitation in west Kent can hold it together..
