  1. Morning Wind very noisy around the house all night, nothing accumulated overnight with the flurries I saw falling just after midnight but not surprised given the wind..Maidstone probably have them! Currently -2.3c (after a high of -0.2c at midnight) and DP -6c.
  2. Not far from you in Hawkinge! Full on gale force gusts at times round the house now and horizontal snow flurries. Currently -0.2c, DP -6c (high was 0.0c in the end)
  3. Same, as under the light snow according to the radar but an intense stare at the lamppost saw one whole flake
  4. Thank you for cheering me up after a rubbish day at work! I have kept half an eye on the radar when I could at work and wasn’t fancying our chances. And after watching the snow to the north and west of us all week here in se Kent, I would love to end the week with some decent snowfall!
  5. Hi Jay! Fingers crossed for some snow for us both! Was just coming back to report I can see a few small flakes blowing about up here. Please advise if it’s suddenly three feet deep down there so I can have a day off
  6. Morning -5.4c, DP -8c here and very windy from the NE all night. Looking at the band, it’s just not making inroads across the Channel here unfortately. I see the MO have updated my forecast for today to heavy snow for a few hours but just don’t see it happening as there’s nothing to indicate that on the radar..in fact, all the stuff out in the sea seems to doing here is becoming lighter and lighter. Hopefully tomorrow will be better here!
  7. Wind howling round the house! Temp -5c, dew point -9c Used to tracking French blobs on the radar but it’s usually summer and in the 20’s, not sub-zero and winter!
  8. Anyone got a good radar for France? Was thinking that it’d be good to watch the precip moving up! I’m wanting a good day of snow. It’ll kill me work wise (I manage a very small team) and we are super busy as it is. 5 of my 10 wouldn’t be able to get in if it was bad and then with me unable to get in too (3.3 mile walk down from the hills to the town centre) the work would pile up very quickly... But! my 11 year old would love a snow day! His little face on Monday as we drove to town, watching some of the village kids already out with sledges as one of the two primary schools were closed was so sad! So, we only live once and all that! Bring on the snow
  9. Sounds like 40’s are the place to be for us weather nuts...I’m 41 in May
  10. Evening After a low of -5.5c here this morning we hit the heady heights of -2c here today. Snow intact where the sun didn’t touch and lots of ice about too. Currently quite windy from the NE and -3.6c. Supposed to be dry all day but as I type there are flurries blowing (horizontally) in the wind!
  11. It’s doing the opposite here - they arrive as pale echoes from the Channel and perk up the second they’ve passed over and continue over Kent!
  12. Snap...I’m hoping that we see something out of Thursday/Friday. A bit more whole region inclusive maybe? Not that I can grumble at what we have here, a dusting on top of this mornings 4cm so might get to a couple of inches by morning.
  13. Within touching distance again of the mid-Kent snow...literally 10 miles away!
  14. Evening all Woke this morning to barely a dusting with a low of -4c. Snow started at 7am and lasted over an hour giving 2” which was a nice surprise. Drive to work was easy (unexpected!) and down in town there was a sprinkling. The sun melted most of town centre snow but got home to most of our snow intact. Pic 1 was at 7am, the next 3 are at 8:15 and the last two are when we got home about 5:30..
  15. My 11 year old went to bed asking how much we'd need in order to have a snow day...just like his mum
  16. Same...that heavy blob over Canterbury/Ashford way is only 15'ish miles from us! Keep the photos coming from the snowy places!
  17. All moving down past me to the north and south. Was willing that massive blob now over NE Kent this way but no luck!
  18. Looked at the temperature at home and it’s still below freezing so looking like my first ice day in years! Just back from a lunch hour walk and apart from the odd flake there’s nothing to speak of. Was hoping for some to fall to walk whilst out...maybe tomorrow!
  19. Can people please include their locations if posting photo’s/snow reports as those on phones are unable to see them. Thanks
