  1. Another beautiful day here, third day of uninterrupted sunshine and warmth. Still chilly in the shade though
  2. Misty and 6c this morning. Thankfully no rain on the cards today!
  3. If you run the radar loop now you can see the circulation of the precip perfectly, mirrored on the surface analysis..
  4. First shower hit and it’s sleety but definitely more rain than anything. Currently 2.0c, dp 0c
  5. A lovely sunny day, up to 6c but noticed the snow grains from yesterday evening and the frost stayed in the shady bit of the garden all day.
  6. -1c and frosty this morning, still with yesterday evenings snow grains sitting on the shady bit of the shed roof. Not too disheartened by the lack of snow showing on the models - a read of the strat thread shows we shouldn’t expect anything to show in the models as a result of the SSW until tomorrow (I think...lots of very complicated chatter in there!)
  7. A rainbow? Purely from the “catch me if you can” line. Or, the “beast from the east”?
  8. Just had a heavy snow/graupel shower. Temporary white covering. Looks like that’s it here though unless something else pops up. That blob over London looks like it’s weakening.
  9. Same here! Just went out to put something in the bin and it was snowing the polystyrene balls! Wasn’t expecting it as radar shows all rain.. Temp 5c, dp -2c
  10. Morning. Still very windy and the rain arrived overnight so rather wet outside too. Currently 4c, gusting into the mid 30mph. NW radar says sleet moving into the west of London now, with snow not far behind. Anyone up that way confirm sleetiness?
  11. If I’m reading this right, 0z is an upgrade for snow for us tomorrow, rain to snow event? 1pm and 7pm respectively tomorrow..
  12. Agreed. This has been better than the last few here that’s for sure. No real “event” to speak of but several dustings, lots of frost and cold generally. I’d love to see one snowy period but if not at least now spring is round the corner for those fed up of the darker months ?
  13. I always enjoy your posts on this thread too Knocker, thank you for the time and trouble taken (you make much more sense than a lot of the mainstream forecasts!)
  14. Left work to a few snow flurries and 2c. Got home up the hill to find 1c and yesterday morning’s snow still in the shady bits and a few flurries also (which have now stopped). Hoping for one of the blobs to come this way! Fingers crossed for everyone
  15. -1c and a slight frost on the car. Some snow left in the shady bits of garden from yesterday.
  16. A covering here but heard the bus on the main road so work and school for all
  17. Looked out 10 minutes ago and still wet and only shed roof white, heard what sounded like rain and looked out again and there a light covering now!
  18. The Netherlands radar has a predictive 3 hour radar. Blob incoming?
  19. Just back home after going to Beefeater in West Hougham for my son's birthday (11 today and only second time he's had snow on his birthday, last time was 2012 I think). When we arrived at 5:30 the cars already there had slush on windscreens and driving home at 6:45 it was snowing on the A20 and still when we got home. Shed roof now white
  20. I wouldn’t be too despondent if you aren’t seeing showers at the moment as they aren’t snow, just sleet or graupel. Hoping they turn more wintry later!
  21. http://www.meteociel.fr/observations-meteo/point-de-rosee.php Meteociel shows dew points widely over freezing in a line east from The Wash to about Brighton.
  22. Light to moderate rain/sleet/graupel showers on and off the last couple of hours. Bright sunshine for now and 3c. Dew point higher than earlier at 2c...are these meant to drop again later?
