  1. I know! Honestly, I’d think I was making it up if I wasn’t me! Where are you? On mobile so can’t see locations on profiles.
  2. Snowing here!! Wet flakes on wet ground but still snow!! 53920620014__6A5FE435-8DAD-419B-88F7-C11441034058.MOV
  3. Reading through the threads and looking at the charts this evening I’m dying to tell my other half. Not daring to for fear of the jinx though! Mentioned it to my 10 year old earlier though as he’d love snow again on his birthday. Did say it’s a super small chance though so hopefully I’ve not blown it!
  4. After a sunny morning it went very dark here as the front cleared through about lunchtime. Popped out about 1:30 on my lunch and it felt very much cooler in the wind than when I went in at 8am! 4c now, full moon rising so hopefully a frost in the morning
  5. After yesterday’s frost and sun, a windy night and warmer - currently 7c - and about to rain looking at the radar. Overnight runs look interesting, continuing the colder theme but will not hold my breath for that theme to still be there when I’m back from work this evening (please please please be there!)
  6. 6c here this morning with a brief hail shower at 8am. Now seems to be brightening up which would be good as the large puddle in my garden could do with a dry day! Anyone know what the synoptics were at this time in 2010? Just looking back through my old photos looking for snow and found the ones of our streamer on 10th-11th Feb that year..
  7. Windy all day here from around 5am. Was rainy first thing but then mostly dry until 4.15 when the squall finally made it to the far SE. Had about 3mm out of it and after it cleared both the wind and the temperature dropped (about 3c in half hour).
  8. Just saw this online. Was an avid watcher of Stormchasers back when it was on, he seemed such a happy guy who genuinely enjoyed the crazy chases with Reed and their team.
  9. I moved out of town on top of the local hills last year and it has worked in so much as we get more frosts. We also had a light covering of snow in December, when down in town they have had nothing this winter. I also lived up here in February 2010 when we had our last proper streamer event...had a foot of snow while there was just two or three inches down in town. I’d love to see a decent easterly or Ne’ly flow again. Much better than the foggy, damp and windy weather we have now!
  10. It was lighter here for a bit and so just drizzle, then looked out to see flakes in the mix again but now back to mostly drizzle. It’s like the hokey cokey Watching a heavier patch moving this way on the radar..
  11. Small world, i know your Tom! Its been drizzling the last half hour but came down a bit heavier just now and there were flakes mixed in. Sad when that’s exciting...maybe one day we SE lot will get our easterly
  12. Radar showing precipitation here (seem to be on the border of sleet and snow) but nothing falling from the sky. I’m guessing we need a heavier burst on the radar to get what’s up in the clouds to the ground.
  13. Rain as expected and 4c here. Lots of standing water about already so will be fun later if that freezes over!
  14. Some interesting radar watching going on over next 48 hours! Did a model show a chance of wintriness tomorrow for some? Or am I dreaming...
  15. Frosty and clear this morning! In the absence of snow, perfect
  16. So the hunt is still on for our nor’ Easter full of snow...however, eight (long) years ago here in Hawkinge...
  17. For me I’m happy with the fact we are going into a north east flow to start with. Once that’s in we can then worry about the longevity of the cold snap/spell and look at shorter range for any showers and (fingers crossed) streamers into the region. Exciting model watching the next few days if nothing else!
  18. Nothing heard here but then you’d have a job hearing anything over the wind and rain on the window.
  19. I’ve decided I’m not telling anyone about the potential for us next weekend. I swear that it always jinxes it Another very wet, but not so windy day here. Cooler than the last couple of days at least, currently 5c.
  20. I agree...went to sleep and it was -2 and white with frost, ice and some snow cover and woke to +4c wind and rain. I’m really hoping we get a potent easterly as some stage in the next couple of months so our region can join in on winter proper.
  21. The snow that came down yesterday was still on the grass where the sun hadn’t touched it today, as was the frost. Very cold and frosty again now, with everything sparkling in the moonlight...shame it’ll be gone by morning!
