  1. Exciting! We need a snowy reward after all this boring grey blah weather of late
  2. I think because it's all being discussed here: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/64686-mondays-potential-storm/page__st__323 I will guess at 76mph by the way :-)
  3. Several rumbles of thunder in with the rain that passed over in the last couple of hours
  4. Not something interesting unfortunately, just an echo on the radar that I'd hoped might turn into something but hasn't
  5. What's that building over Northern France...maybe us SE'ies turn for a little bit of rain and a storm?
  6. Just a few flashes out to sea now. Went up on the cliffs about a half hour ago to have a proper look and all I saw was one CG along with several impressive cloud illuminations
  7. Shame, might still take a quick walk along to the cliffs though and see if there's any lightning in that latest one!
  8. Just wanted to mention was woken around 3am by heavy rain and a passing storm, friends said they were woken around 5am too by the rain. Rain guage showed 14mm overnight. Heavy rain agin late morning and lunchtime for a brief spell giving another 6mm
  9. Todays high of 24c lower than expected due to fog around midday. Back to regular programming now though with sun and 21c
  10. One rumble here but looking like something is heading this way on the radar
  11. Overcast and waiting for the echoes over the Channel to reach here - looking very lively over N France now
  12. It was fairly wild here from about 3am through until late morning. We had 24mm of rain with gales so just a normal wind storm really but as they've few and far between this Autumn/Winter it wasn't unwelcome
  13. Snowed heavily for a while here earlier, laid easily on the already frozen ground and snow already down. Turned back to drizzle for the bit then sleet
  14. Yep we just had the gritters go past here too Lazarus, went for a nice long walk around the edge of Hawkinge this afternoon...lots of snow laying still. I'd say 4-6 inches still
  15. Sleety, drizzly mix with the odd bigger snowflake thrown in but the temperature is falling slowly...currently at 0.9c. The MO has it down to be 3c at thx moment and dropping no lower all night - would they have based that on an earlier run in the charts? (the 06z for example?)
  16. A dusting overnight to add to the (now thawing) 23cm we had Weds into Thursday
  17. Slight dusting overnight, not enough to stop me getting down the hill to work unfortunately
  18. Bit of snow out of that up here on the hill, has dusted the cars that had been cleared off today
  19. Had a bit of very light snow this morning even while it's thawing, still very icy underfoot where people have trampled the snow flat too
  20. Nowt here looking at my lamppost, looking at radar should have just passed over
  21. I had 24cm in my back garden so I'm going to round that up to 10" Snow drifts out on the hills were amazing knee deep at best, thigh deep in places and shoulder deep on a couple of spots...
  22. Off out in it now for a proper walk while it's still snowing
  23. Amazing sight isn't it? I physically cannot get into Folkestone to get to work! Will be out taking pics today
