  1. Sorry off topic I know, but I can't subscribe. I'm logged in but then when I try to subscibe to monthly radar, it's not recognising my password Maybe just the amount of people all trying to subscribe at once. Had reports of very light snow in Shoebury but none in my part, right on the beach bascially just yet. Also my friend who is an ambulance driver in southend is reporting snow too. Not got an exact location back from him yet though.
  2. Hi Blackie, hope your well. We meet again this snowy season. I've now moved to George St right near East beach. Indoors at moment but can't see any snow here yet and we are only about half mile apart
  3. I'm moving hopefully to Ware next year. Can't wait, as because we are big snow lovers here and get minimal amounts usually compared to where you are. Really hoping to see a snowy last winter after living in the se essex area for 37 years now.
  4. Ooooh I am out in Hertfordshire for the week. Missing the home storms, although had a couple of good ones here today. Sounds like some distant rumbling out there now, and very black but not sure of my directions from here.
  5. Well just as I said it was all calming down it is back with torrential rain and pretty much overhead storm
  6. Yea my son and I just drove back along the seafront in that rain, after sitting on one of the shelters on the seafront watching the lightshow as it came in. All seems to be quieting down now here though
  7. some excellent lightning here and now raining too. Bring it on!
  8. Not if you get what we are starting to get in Shoebury. And this is just the beginning hopefully
  9. was just reading through and about to say that its seems to have died down a bit here.. although I am not looking south anymore the thunder that was quite distant had died down. And then 2 huge big flashes, and almost immediate thunder, looking out n/nw. And another accompanied by thunder at the same time. Maybe I was wrong
  10. Seriously thinking about heading down east beach
  11. Just looked out my south window and frequent, bright and what seem quite close flashes, with a pretty much constant distant rumbling.. Wasnt expecting anything much here yet judging by the radars. No rain though yet.
  12. Definitely something rumbling around in the distance here as now been 4 rumbles and fairly frequent. Going to sit on my doorstep I think and do some marking and see whats occuring. As I type theres the 5th one. And more which are definitley getting louder so definitely time to go sit out. lol
  13. Good afternoon.. That must have been the distant rumble I heard over here. First and only at the moment. Be typical if it's dying away.
  14. Just had a distant rumble here in Shoebury in Essex. And sitting here with window open and breeze got cooler just beforehand.. Only slightly but noticeable.
  15. Well after a few hours of continuous snow here, it turned to a drizzly snizzly mix and then stopped. Now it definitely looks like very light rain out there with the occasional random flake falling. Should I expect any more snow here or do you think it will now stay as snizzle and drizzle for us?
  16. We have more in Shoebury and coming down quite fast and in slightly heavier bursts. I think its just snow, and not sleety although hard to tell through the wndow really. Will venture out to have a look soon as got to drive out to pay my cheque in
  17. Got about 1cm here in Shoebury too. Just started up again out there. First I've seen since waking at 6.45am
  18. Which school Paul? There are loads closed on the BBC Essex site. North st/rd is closed
  19. Woo starting again here Tracy the link for Essex fm is working. So far showing just 1 pre school shut. But worth keeping an eye on there
  20. yep teen but i was blocking the stairs and his shoes were downstairs! He might get his own back in the morning though All stopped here again now for a bit.
  21. Happy over in Shoebury. Went off to watch tv for an hour after lots of lampost watching and then looked out to see the little bit we had is now covered again :0 Been constant for about half hour now, altohugh still fine and powdery. Did manage to get a nice handful though and got my son, who was sitting in SHORTS only in his room. Nice back shot. lol.
  22. after a good few hours of nothing it has restarted again here. I was due to have someone travel down to see me tomorrow night from Hertfordshire. Not sure they will be coming down at this rate Any other time I would be jumping for joy at the prosepcts of so much snow. edit that: Its stopped again. Must have just been a brief flurry in the wind
  23. Not been anymore in Shoebury for a while. Says me, as I type its just starting again here
  24. Aww, well I'm sure you can't miss out completely...surely not. Once the main lot starts you're bound to get some
  25. Amazing the difference a few miles makes. I am due to be working in Rochford Pre School in the morning. We have a covering here now.. only a dusting covering, but a covering all the same
