  1. Morning All, the overnight cloud has drifted away and left us with a clear sunny morning, after an overnight low of -1.1°C at: 00:10, currently 3.1°C , RH83% and a light breeze in from the NE. From Above On Golden sands
  2. ONLY 438? Currently cooling nicely, down to 1.4°C. I've played my Joker tonight and blocked the MOD thread until such time as all the toys have been rescued, in cooler conditions it's unfair for them to be thrown out the prams by folk.
  3. All to be played for, so I'm emptying my half empty buckets in preparation to refill them all, from the cold rain due early and late from the SW lows that will make the Midlands thread ignite.
  4. Yeah you'd probably only need a pinch of salt when applied to the ups and downs , N vs S of the MOD thread at the moment.
  5. Positively warm in Levi (Finland) today
  6. Morning All, the overnight low of -2.5°C at: 07:47 has risen to 2.5°C, RH77% with a light breeze in from the ENE - E, with patchy sunshine. From Above On Golden sands, looking much better than earlier.
  7. This morning prediction for the same models, GFS has listened to you ECM showing the transition changeover around B'rum GFS, showing further south Appreciate its 7 days away, but MOD thread look in to crystal balls beyond that, and it's just for fun anyway.
  8. Interesting comments made, this outlook possible suggests most of the trend as commented, "A bit of a battle ground set up, which could be what we'll have a for a good proportion of the remainder of January" A fair amount of westerly influence there as the blocking looses its grip progressively.
  9. Looking forward just over a week, another will it / wont it (only if we get the cold air back in) event ECM (Snowmageddon) GFS (Copious cold rain)
  10. Morning All, a dry sunny morning, and a struggle overnight to reach freezing point, with the low of -0.1°C at: 00:00, currently 2.5°C , RH77% with a fresh breeze from the E - ESE. From Above From Above, the stream of cloud off the continent into the SW On Golden sands
  11. Tiz 'ere too. For those that didn't see this, it was the winter of 2015, Bournemouth beach Oh how times change, 8years on...
  12. If it's based on the Northerly influx, then down here will struggle, as the cold takes a while to get in, and is often forced away by the warm SW's. IMBY, the news of a Northerly really isn't good news for much weatherwise, but the easterly appears to have faded. There's a crackin' good memory for you!
  13. Quote "This is not a drill" (ROFL) And you can set your watches later with this one "....light rain is predicted at 1pm today, followed by sleet at 2pm, then snowfall between 3pm and 10pm."
  14. Morning All, a dry yet overcast morning, after an overnight low of -1.5°C at: 01:43, currently 2.4°C, RH74% with a light breeze in from the NE - E. The soil temperature is now 4.4°C, so it's cooled nicely. From Above a wider view this morning to see what's happening Radar mapping AND of course , On Golden sands Now the cooler weather has arrived, time for winter supply check. De-icer, sand/grit snow shovel, snow tracks for car, blankets, thermos flasks, torch, and that's just to get to the car from the house. Important winter supplies ready:
  15. Crikey, 50 & 60% possibility, not a lot to write home about is it? Mind you that's probably a whole lot better than anything from the 14-17th festival people seem so hung up about.
