What wrong with the radar? Should have had moderate snow just now!
The only PPN on radar near Cardiff is north of it. No PPN near the city.

Although most of it isn't giving any PPN to us.

Jesus, what a surprise, snowing here in Pontyates, Carmarthenshire Wales. Light snow.

strange..radar is usually accurate..temp 2.0c, dew point -2.9c.
Nothing here as well even though the radar shows it,

Temps have dropped from a max of 4 Deg C a few hours ago to under 1 Deg C. This is a good thing I assume.

So where abouts in Wales are you. 70m asl is my level.

Very sad now, temp has risen to 4 Deg C and the snow has started to melt. Gutted.

Very disappointing here now! The leading front of the shower was RAIN! Now it's snow again, but not a good sign is it? In between the last shower and this the temp has risen to 2 Deg C. Terrible

Boy oh boy. It's nasty outside here in Pontyates. With the wind blowing hard the snow stings your face.
Drifting in places as well. Here some pics from early, currently moderate snow. Accumulating well, about -2.5 here. EDIT: Now have a gap in the showers, sun out -1.
Variations with lying snow, from about 5-10CM in some parts to in excess of 15CM on the grass :lol: Lovely for here!

What's the chances of this turning to rain?

Finally started to stick to the road in certain patches. Hopefully a day off if nothing drastic happens when I'm asleep.

Ah tipical!
(Traffic Wales a little bit dodgy) I checked Junction 48 when I got in, snow on the sides. I also checked up Merthyr way with some snow sticking to roads.

Moderate big juicy flakes now. Finally a little more accumulation. Has been very terrible here, not a lot has accumulated.

-3 Deg C persistent light snow.
I'm not sure if this is heavy enough to take control of the grit that's bounced on the paths? I doubt it would be much different tomorrow morning. Hopefully we'll see.

Eased off now, wait for the next showers to arrive.
Will the PPN (big yellow bit) near Liverpool swing and head down, or will it split and carry on NW?

Looks like im set for showers rest of afternoon. A lot of thawing occurred as the sun came out. Now started to stick to walls and some paths.

Carmarthenshire. By the time showers get to me they loose intensity. Terrible.
