  2. Feeling very chilly today under a blanket of cloud and a moderate breeze from the NNE. Current Temp: 9.2c Max Temp: 12.2c Min: 4.8c Wind: 13mph NNE gusting 27mph.
  3. 10.1c here to the 6th, 0.4c below the 1981-2010 average. Likely to see a few more drops before milder air arrives later this coming week.
  4. First cloudy start in a while with a spot of drizzle. Current Temp: 10.2c Overnight Min: 5.7c Wind: 8mph ENE gusting 17mph
  5. 10.4c here to the 4th, 0.1c below the 1981-2010 average. First time we've been below average here in a while, should stay that way too if the BBC forecast temps are correct.
  6. Another mainly cloudless day, feeling pleasant out of the NE wind. Current Temp: 11.8c Max Temp: 15.1c Min Temp: 4.5c Wind: 14mph NE gusting 26mph.
  7. 10.7c to the 3rd here, 0.2c above the 1981-2010 average. Next 5 days looking average to slightly below so not much change expected.
  8. Some sunshine this morning but also quite a bit of cloud. Gusty NE wind again. Current Temp: 10.5c Overnight Min: 7.5c Wind: 15mph NE gusting 25mph.
  9. Sunny here with a strong gusty NE wind which is stopping the temp responded accordingly to sunshine. Current Temp: 12.3c Overnight Min: 5.0c Wind: 17mph NE gusting 26mph
  10. April carried on the mild and dry theme we had over the winter months, unfortunately no sunshine stats but it was most certainly well above average. Clearer skies meant that nighttime temps were close to average but daytime temps were much milder than normal. Noteworthy event was the 23.2c recorded early April which was very warm for the time of year. Averages derived from 1981-2010 average. Temperature: Mean Temp: 8.9c (+1.1c) Mean Min: 3.9c (-0.1c) Mean Max: 13.9c (+2.3c) Min Temp: -0.3c (24th) Max Temp: 23.2c (9th) Highest Min: 8.9c (30th) Lowest Max: 8.6c (25th) Air Frosts: 1 (Normal is 3) Rainfall: April average is 54mm Total for month: 20.6mm Wettest day: 9.4mm (25th) Highest Rain Rate: 37.2mm/hr (27th) Rain days: 11 Dry Days: 19 Pressure: Highest: 1037.19 hPa (19th) Lowest: 1001.97 hPa (30th) Wind: Highest Gust: 36mph (25th) Average Speed: 5.3mph Wind Run: 3793.2 miles. 11. Finished on 8.9c here, which is the same as the CET. 1.1c above the 1981-2010 average.
  12. Quite a foggy start to Tuesday but its starting to disperse and the sun is coming out. Current Temp: 7.2c Overnight Min: 6.2c Wind: 5mph from E
  13. Nice sunny start to May here although a keen ENE wind making it feel a tad cooler. Current Temp: 11.6c Overnight Min: 8.9c Wind: 11mph ENE gusting 21mph
  14. Yes not exactly cold I agree, what I should of put is I'm an colder than average weather lover all year round. GFS is solid as a rock with the Greenie High and NE'rly. If it was January it would go BAPS up but because its May is nailed.
  15. As an all year round cold weather lover, charts like this have me drooling! GFS showing potential for white stuff falling up North and some air frosts for many early to Mid May. Lets just hope we don't use up all our Northern Blocking yearly allowance and there's some left over for December.
  16. We have managed to drop a degree since mid month, so the cold snap didn't have too much of an impact. The monthly mean max is currently at 14.0c which is 2.6c above average, whereas the mean min is currently at 3.7c which is 0.3c below average. Unfortunately I don't have any sunshine stats for this month but its very likely the reason we are above average this month is due to high sunshine levels that has resulted in well above average maximum temps, especially earlier in April. Still 8.8c here to the 29th, 1.0c above the 1981-2010 average. Possibility with a mild night due tonight we finish the month on 8.9c.
  17. Hazy sunshine this morning after a mild start to the final day of April. Moderate Breeze from the ESE. Current Temp: 12.8c Overnight Min: 7.2c Wind: 15mph ESE gusting 28mph
  18. 8.8c here to the 26th, 1.0c above the 1981-2010. Mean Temp currently at its lowest so far this month, looking like finishing around 8.6c roughly.
  19. A cold start to Thursday with a slight ground frost, however cloud has increased and we've had a few light showers so far today. Current Temp: 11.7c Min Temp: 1.9c Max Temp: 12.5c Wind from N at 8mph.
  20. Yes plenty of sleet/wet snow showers here just outside Malton this morning, nothing settling unfortunately, however there was a good covering above 250m in the North York Moors this morning.
  21. 8.9c here to the 25th, 1.1c above the 1981-2010 average. Should see it drop slightly before month end if BBC temp forecast are accurate.
  22. Yes we almost hit 17c today with a max of 16.4c. Those in the North of the region with some elevation could see some settling snow tomorrow evening, however the feature does look to decay somewhat as it slides SEwards.
  23. Gorgeous start to Sunday after a ground frost, lovely sunshine and a light NW wind. Current Temp: 11.3c Min Temp: 1.9c Wind:5mph NW Pressure: 1026.0 hPa Falling
  24. 9.1c here to the 22nd, 1.3c above the 1981-2010 average. Today looks mild so 9.2c likely by tomorrow, then we see potential for 3/4 days of drops so I would imagine somewhere around 8.5c by the end of the coming week/month.
