  1. BBC news just updated this a few minutes ago

Three climbers are missing after an avalanche in Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands.

A party of five climbers are believed to have been caught up in the avalanche in an area known as Bidean Nam Bain, at about 14:00.

Police said Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team was searching for three people.

They said one male climber was safe and a female climber with serious injuries had been found and taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William.

  2. It has been cloudy a lot recently but have managed to see some snow,

15th January you can see the snow in Scotland http://lance-modis.eosdis.nasa.gov/imagery/subsets/?subset=AERONET_Edinburgh.2013015.terra.250m.jpg

16th January Eastern parts of the UK can be seen but mostly cloudy http://lance-modis.eosdis.nasa.gov/imagery/subsets/?subset=AERONET_Edinburgh.2013016.terra.250m.jpg

17th January you can make out some of Scotland and Eastern parts but again it's too cloudy for elsewhere http://lance-modis.eosdis.nasa.gov/imagery/subsets/?subset=AERONET_Edinburgh.2013017.terra.250m.jpg

18th January some of Scotland is clear but elsewhere very cloudy http://lance-modis.eosdis.nasa.gov/imagery/subsets/?subset=AERONET_Edinburgh.2013018.terra.250m.jpg

Lets hope we get a good image sent in on Saturday.

  3. Hello Ireland here's the radar from about 15 minutes ago,

NMM model shows snow tonight mainly over the North but by Saturday morning and afternoon it could head more South,

Throughout the rest of Saturday and into Sunday morning it shows snow showers becoming more widespread, Eastern parts look to do the best here but snow showers even appear in the far West.

  4. Latest radar,

I've just gone through the NMM model it shows snow continuing in Eastern parts and the Highlands as well. Also Northern Scotland can expect something,

And it shows for Saturday into Sunday morning mainly Eastern parts again seeing the best of snow but it does spread over Edinburgh, Fife and Glasgow something to keep a watch on.

  5. Met office have once again failed, utterly, to predict this. No orange warning for the areas that needed it most even though NMM and yr.no hinted at this squall line. Why the hell did they fail to issue warnings for the right areas just a few hours before it kicked off? They have improved in recent years but this was quite a poor show IMO

Yes best to use the Scottish Met Office now and our SWM :D

Still dry here and wind picking back up again top gusts recently touching 50mph temps are still low though.
