  1. Still dry here. Hasn't been too cool either. Been fine in t shirt and shirts today!!
  2. Yep Saturday should be fine and very warm/hot for us now. Bish, I have to agree with you. Think 2006 just pips it.
  3. Great for me as a heat lover. Epic charts for me and by far the best since 2006 and up there with 2003!!
  4. Still some smoke visibly coming out of the fire. Tbh it must have been contained very quick because by mid morning the plume quickly subsided. Will be burning though for some time yet. For what its worth, there is still some smoke coming from the Lawrence's Recycling centre in Stourport when I passed yesterday.
  5. Although the high looks like it may pull back into the Atlantic, at the same time it seems pressure may fall slightly in the Azores and I feel this would encourage the high to be pushed back towards us albeit perhaps a little less extensive with a bit more of the North prone to unsettled conditions.
  6. I'm a bit concerned the models are going to downgrade that the high wont make it past the UK but for now it looks ok for 4-5 days heat wise.
  7. Thank god you saw this too!!! I also saw it about 3am and was baffled to why there was already a red cloud in the sky before sunrise!!!
  8. Im giving it an 8.5/10. Lots of sunny spells. No real heat but plenty of days over 20c and a few very warm days. No disastrously wet days. Got to witness a fantastic, severe French import Thunderstorm in Falmouth. The first two weeksi n Cornwall btw were almost non stop sunshine and were a 10/10 for sure!!!
  9. THERE WILL BE NO CHANCE OF TELFORD CLOUD WITH THESE CHARTS!!!!
  10. Supposed to be going back to Cornwall a week tomorrow. As long as any sea mist keeps away, I could have picked the most BRILLIANT week in many years to get down there to do some exploring!!!
  11. Cracking charts tonight. Even should the High retrogress, the Azores high finally making excellent attempts to ridge in would lead me to think it would do so later on in the summer too - It could retrogress then ridge again. The Jet looks like finally going to its normal summer position. This is totally a different story to the last 6 summers. Finally will we see true summer?!?
  12. Yes but we dont get these opportunities often so youll have to suffer for a change. These charts have been UNSEEN 100% over the last 6 years. So refreshing to see proper summer HOPEFULLY on its way. If its anything like today minus the late cloud, its gonna be a corker!
  13. Wow and what stonking charts!!! Excellent birthday present lol. Summer is coming!!!
  14. Yep sunny spells and pleasantly warm today. Summer of 95 it's all about the airmass. The upper temps aren't conducive today of 25c hut will be tomorrow for here and south eastwards.
  15. Sun coming through nicely now. Sorry Conor but your prediction of a dull weekend is looking wrong.
  16. Indeed its very bright here today - no dull fest with the promise of more sunshine coming through this afternoon. Tomorrow looks excellent for my Birthday!
  17. SATURDAY: Sunny for Channel Is but cloudier for Cornwall but some sun here too. 14-19c Cornwall's Forecast: http://www.cciweathe...wall/4573724902 Channel Islands Forecast: http://www.cciweathe...ands/4573977985 ***NEW LOOK WEBSITE & NEW DETAILED FORECAST SUMMARIES - Overnight, Morning, Afternoon & Evening detail with new summary box.*** 156 Followers @kernowweather
  18. Im just pleased El Kernow meant I had to wait less than a year for a storm like El Brumo! How Lucky I was!
  19. What has this got to do with the 4th/5th July onwards in response to my post? ECM 12z going with the High pressure from the 5th July which I emphasise was as always expected from... Before then, occasionally warm in the Southern half of the UK, cool up North with some sun and rain. What was expected... move on. Apart from some time ago from a couple of models the first few days of July were NEVER forecasted with HP.
  20. IMO those saying all this high pressure etc wont happen in the MOD thread are contributing less to the thread than the rest of us. At least the others are commenting on whats being shown. Most of the day has been spent with the thread clogging up with the same suspects who claim this is all a big hype. They barely BACK UP their comments with charts. Double standards and all that...
  21. Very excessive pessimism in here today. A shame. My views still heavily lean to the very warm/hot spell in July right now. That doesnt make me a cherry picker/optimist or whatever the junk people are commenting in here today. Thats just where my thoughts go a long with the background/long term signals. Ian Fergusson on Points West tonight even mentioned that July could turn decidedly summer like! On the UKMO tonight, if the model went beyond 144 I would say High pressure would definitely be incoming. Its already building in the last frame and there is no real low pressure waiting in the west/NW. Also it matches nicely with the high building around the 4th and 5th. There WILL be more changes to come and it wont be straight forward as it never is. I expect temperatures to be downgraded on the GFS somewhat as we near this spell should it occur as it likes to go rather over the top but imo, little is changing about the 5th July onwards which is when the high has ALWAYS been forecasted from and little has changed there unlike what some would want you to believe on here. I would actually like to see the doomongers BACK Up their posts with some charts. At least the rest are doing so.
  22. Just to cheer things up amongst the incessant doom and moaning in here by the same pessimistic lot, Ian Fergusson on Points West tonight said things could turn decidedly summer like by July!
