  1. Yep looking ever more promising for the midlands now. Would be quite ironic if we get something and the south doesn't this week
  2. Looks great but as far as I can see there is nothing to support anything thundery over the UK with all that staying over the continent.
  3. My prediction for tonight is still mostly rain and nothing else however perhaps the greatest chance of a few thundery cells into the south coast tonight but quickly fading as they move further inland hence just plain rain showers into tomorrow. Risk of storms for the midlands tomorrow afternoon though.
  4. That's more like it! Lots of blue sky now with very warm/hot sunshine.
  5. Turned into a decent afternoon alternating between cloud and sunshine. Very warm and humid regardless. 10 minutes after my comment Above about the Telford disease it was cured very quickly to very blue skies in 10 mins !
  6. Ugh we've caught the Telford disease today. Now 100% cloud cover whilst the satellite suggests pretty much everyone around us in sun.
  7. Fair but if high cloud but the sun is managing to punch through more now
  8. As I expected no real activity for the UK , just a Kent clipper. Just look at how those storms quickly steer away from us. The UK is cursed!! Rain tonight, maybe a little thundery in the south but I still don't expect much. Perhaps greater chance of a storm in cs England and the midlands tomorrow afternoon.
  9. Still 17c here and according to XC Weather it makes here one of the warmest spots in the country! It was forecast to be down to about 14c about now so hopefully we will go into a warmer than expected start tomorrow. So if the sun is out as forecast could we push 24/25c quite nicely here?
  10. Indeed, I would be hoping many would go for the slightly more uncomfortable sleeping for an enjoyably warm day rather than 14c and rain. Today we will do better than the SE! Enjoy all! Looks good for anyone west of Birmingham for Sun!

  12. I understand it is difficult for some but then again it can be much warmer than this when you go abroad on holiday!! It doesnt happen to often here so I have to make the most of it! And because of the sunshine and humid warmth tomorrow, we can enjoy a BBQ here tomorrow!
  13. Yep still 17c here right now. Love nights like this though. Have the fan on but its lovely to be able to just step outside without extra layers other than a shirt and shorts. Wednesday is looking positive for the West Midlands. The SE looks like it will bask in CLOUD whilst we enjoy a little cloud but should be much more sunshine around too and consequently we are now forecast some of the highest temperatures with 21-25c quite widely. But I agree with conor, just rain Thursday. I expect a lot of disappointed SE peeps who have ramped up potential that was little anyway.
  14. I might be wrong but again I strongly believe nothing will really happen tonight. In my eyes nothing was ever really expected tonight. A lot of disappointed SEeners in the morning probably. Still dont expect much tomorrow night. Lots of rain but little energy over us for anything thundery.
  15. Thing is it just looks like rain on Thursday IMO. Charts don't indicate any real thundery potential.
  16. Yep estofex has actually got it right for this part of the world unlike those dismissing it last night by the hope casters. I never saw much in today. Tomorrow evening is certainly the next chance but I'm going for most of the action over the continent with anything just scraping the se. Maybe a little tomorrow morning too but I don't expect too much either.
  17. My concern precisely. Lots of rain but no thundery potential there.
  18. Hmm not amazing and of course this is way into FI but beyond that chart I can see the high retreating back into the Atlantic and perhaps up towards Greenland. Although its a good run HP refuses to get easy of Britain.
  19. I'd be very confudent that this wont happen.Meanwhile expect rain Thursday morning but no thundery activity IMO. All the energy for thundery conditions look like staying in the SE.
  20. Great, so another possible 10 years of this Junk. At least Winters are of a higher chance of some interest with snow. I hate cold but only snow makes it worthwhile.
  21. Oh wow, those are bad. Every run is fast beginning to resemble the last 6 rubbish summers. Bad outlook unless your a duck imo. Very cool and wet and as usual only for the UK and the fringes of other countries around us. Even with low heights around Greenland we still have LP directed at us. Why is the Azores high just refusing to make an effort to budge!!! With the same problems as the last few summers look to be arising, Im ever more convinced that we could face many more summers like this along with cold winters but that is for another thread. Any Azores ridging has become very rare.
  22. Wow, what a difference. Very muggy here and 21c. Its been warmer than the SE here. Tomorrow may reach 24c and with sunshine in the afternoon so although we wont see storms, imo for good weather at least, we will do better than the SE. However the charts for the weekend and beyond look horrendous. Looks like high pressure will just fail to ridge and more low pressures becoming anchored just to our NE. The CFS has completely dropped its settled July. Looks like Summer could fast begin to echo the last lot of junk, even though heights to our North are pretty low. We just cant win. Just watch every other country bar the UK bask in summer again.
  23. Im really not encouraged by the charts. Any ridging looks very weak and temporary and more and more models seem keen on slow moving lows and troughs just t our NE brining the usual cool nastiness towards us. To me the charts by the day are looking more like the last few junk of summers. These charts are not normal again. The CFS has totally backed away too from a settled July to something very cool and unsettled. Not to say there wont be the odd warmer day but right now, very unimpressed.
