  1. Well summer has been good for here so far. Not brilliant but not below average. Hardly anyone complaining over here.
  2. Well your not right for here Conor. Tomorrow should be near 20c here with some sunny spells but Sunday still looks good with even more sunshine and upto 23c. Still looks decent enough to me. No way will it be a dull fest this weekend here anyway.
  3. By far the best charts in summer since 2006 are now in view. Even with some downgrades it could potentially turn out very good. The background signals are there for something decent in July anyway. I think anyone would appreciate this over the dross of the last 6 Summers anyway!
  4. I dont see this trend at all. I feel you have seen the ECM and just thought oh well its the more unsettled outlook thus it must be right. Not saying its wrong but from the models which go beyond the 4th/5th july when the ridging is forecast, all models are against the ECM imo. Those going for High pressure dont get it going till about the 5th July and this hasnt changed in the last 24 hours imo.
  5. In terms of the medium to long range its all models vs the ECM 12z right now. Not saying the ECM is wrong as I know its one of the best models and id trust the ECM more than the GFS but a long way to go yet to resolve this probably. However right now the ECM is rather on its own.
  6. Well it was lovely here till lunchtime. More sunshine than expected. However a rubbish evening.
  7. Also, many models still going for strong pressure rise including GEM, BOM, NAVGEM, CFS from around the 4th/5th so no surprise the UKMO still looks unsettled and I imagine if it went further we would see a similar evolution to what the NAVGEM shows. Still looking fantastic tonight for a true very warm spell to come.
  8. IF that GFS high pressure comes off I can see why it would be slow to move, thats a huge high with very strong heights and very impressive to have 1035mb in July when Summer High pressures are usually more 1020-1025mb.
  9. gfs 12z starts in 5 mins. Yes I'm wondering whether higher sunspots may see us through better for the next couple of years but that's for another thread.
  10. Rain has been forecast for some days spreading into the Midlands FROM the North west....
  11. I doubt it will get quite as awarm as that but Shefali yesterday said we would be in a warm sector Friday so low 20s possible.
  12. Interesting because whilst we had cloud the sun was never gone forMore than 5 minutes at a time. Still 20c here.
  13. C'mon guys your never going to get heat with a NW wind and besides we are still in the process of importing warmer uppers after the cool uppers we had with the low pressure. If was to be sunny each day this week, I know tomorrow and Friday won't be but we would otherwise see temps rising each day. Just be grateful we have some typical British summer conditions. I find it sad not enough seem to be enjoying it. 21-22c here today.
  14. Rapidly clearing skies now thus very warm and sunny. Such a decent summer thus far here.
  15. Exciting models indeed! Again we're surpassing met office expectations temperature wise. Now 21c here. 22-23 is possible this afternoon here!
  16. Lots of sunny spells so far. Satellite suggests less convective cloud than yesterday. BBQ this evening.
  17. To be fair it clouded over not longer after my last post but still pleasantly warm and bright. Tomorrow should be rather similar but a better clearance late afternoon probably.
  18. It's not helped by the NW breezes filtering to you in the NW miands but by the time it reaches down here it's breaking up. Plenty of sunny spells all day here thus why here is one of the warmest places right now.
  19. 20-21c here, a few degrees higher than forecast and making here one of the warmest spots in the country again!
  20. Lots of warm sunny spells here amongst the cloud. Very pleasant day. A normal British summers day.
  21. Cmon guys these charts are still a million times better than last year. This is much more normal. Its not perfect but sadly it seems many of you are just after 30c heat and blazing sunshine all the time. That is NOT Normal. Would you lot prefer 2012? I really hope not. People need to realign their perception to what is normal. This week is much closer to normal. As for Telford, well this weekend you will always be more likely cloudier and cooler than here but I reckon Sunday will be better than you describe.
  22. Wow, if thats not warm then you are in the minority. Anything 20c and above is damn well fine in my opinion. Unless your in the far North then there is a lot of pessimism in here. Lets have 2012 charts back shall we???? Actually these charts for 2013 whilst not perfect are a damn sight better than last year. Im so pleased to see the Azores make an effort and this will effect the majority at some point or another. Yes heat is unlikely but for Typical British Summer, the charts are the most normal this year since 2006 in my opinion. Sadly and I can easily identify a number of you here, you wont be happy until its 32c and above. Sadly that is NOT typical British Summer. Yes it will happen briefly but its not normal and thus anything but that is a disappointment to you all. Maybe some should alter their perception of what is normal and get real because in my opinion what we are seeing is pretty close to normal!!!
