  1. Hi WM, looking good. Can I be moved to Falmouth, Cornwall on the map please as I'm here for most Of the year now.
  2. Oh my this heat is not going anywhere! Amazing charts. El scorchio here in Falmouth too! Getting a very nice tan.
  3. 18z is a belter for the hot sunny conditions to go on for a long time yet! Could go way over the 2 weeks of +20c days I thought we'd have!
  4. Woop last 2 days have been 25c in Falmouth and looks like the weekend and beyond will stay hot on my return to the Midlands so looks like I have very nicely missed the cooler cloudier conditions at home albeit that is brief there.
  5. Awesome conditions on Cornwall the last 2 days. Car thermometer was reading 23c even at lands end today! 24-27 has been typical between east Cornwall and Falmouth.
  6. TUESDAY: Sunny and very warm, locally hot. Breezy for Channel Islands though. 20-26c Cornwall's Forecast: http://www.cciweathe...wall/4573724902 Channel Islands Forecast: http://www.cciweathe...ands/4573977985 176 Followers @kernowweather including Edward Sault, BBC Channel Islands Presenter and previous Reporter of Look North, BBC Oxford and BBC Spotlight!
  7. I do believe the Cheshire temps today. They do well n easterly set ups. Perhaps a few jealous people are the doubters. hehe Around 27c was our max today - anywhere west of about Birmingham, west of Pennines etc has been hot today.
  8. I think what can be said is that right now, we are not looking at troughs slap bang over us, perhaps a time in no mans land really. Although MJO amplitude is low, fwiw phase 7 in July indicates slightly lower than average pressure especially just to our west but strong heights to our east. Potential for further hotter spells should the MJO hold any clues?
  9. Looks like 27.6c is our max today. and tomorrow should be about 23-24 in Falmouth
  10. I'm not upset haha. Just stating when it has come to the sunnier weather usually the winds have been from the east this year. Those in Kent would agree!
  11. The first half of June - most of the sunshine was there. Had 2 weeks of almost non stop sun in Cornwall. Some of the best temps were in the west too. Still don't see a 30c tomorrow either. More low cloud for the east tonight probably.
  12. Hovering around 26c now - should still push 27-28c. Yet again this year west is best.
  13. Yep another cracking day in the West Country, SW and here in the West Midlands. 26c here. Back in Falmouth tomorrow. Should be 22-26c most of this week in Cornwall.
  14. Indeed quite a marked difference either side of Birmingham. Any where west is at least 24-25 right now.
  15. Breeze seems to have dropped a bit now. Feeling hot again. 26c now.
  16. Unexpected extra breeze today but nothing annoying. 25c now. Guessing 28c max today. Not looking the like of charts for Sunday onwards. Might be warm at times but could end up feeling cool. Why do all hot weather spells seem to end with northerly winds? Argh.
  17. About 24/25c here - probably a degree or so down on this time yesterday. Don't like the look of the charts Sunday onwards. Could become rather cool.
  18. Rather disappointing GFS from Sunday IMO. Azores high looks to become anchored well away from the UK really with just very weak ridging really. Cool for some though perhaps staying warm in the southern half most of the time. Not a washout but seems a stick in the middle with nothing really exciting IMO. GEM is increasingly on its own. Saying that recent CFS runs are very keen on more Azores ridging throughout the month and August.
  19. Fantastic, cant wait to see Kernow for myself again on Tuesday. Cornwall will be one of the best places midweek when the rest see a brief slight cool down. Could remain well into the 20s all week in Cornwall.
  20. As I'm going to Cornwall Tuesday it means I should see no cloud at all pretty much all week and thanks to the easterly winds, staying hot there, especially comparable in the midweek blip though the West Midlands should be very warm or hot all week.
