  1. SUNDAY: Sunny and Very Warm or Hot. Risk of thunderstorms early and late. Max 21-29c. Cornwall's Forecast: http://www.cciweathe...wall/4573724902 Channel Islands Forecast: http://www.cciweathe...ands/4573977985 180 Followers @kernowweather including Edward Sault & BBC Channel Islands!
  2. Dewpoints of 20-22c across the West Midlands, Wales and West Country on Monday. 28-31c possible in the W Midlands and W Country too. The highest humidity here too. Surely a recipe for some superb fireworks? Whatever the result its going to be one stifling day. Just for reference the 28th July 2008 storms happened on a Monday too. So just 6 days earlier this year!
  3. Yep Easterly shift now on the GFS 18z for Tuesday but Monday still looks excellent for Wales and the West Midlands. Dont expect any changes to this now. Easterly shift doesnt bother me as im in Wales Tuesday. Could be more easterly shifts for Tuesday onwards. All looks fine for here Monday though!

  5. Oh god everyone wants a El *insert town/city/county here* now. What have I/AJ started?
  6. Looks interesting for our patch on Monday evening! Feels very similar to the 28th July 2008 which was also a stifling very sticky hot Monday before one of the best storms ive seen in the evening! There was lightning for some 5 hours!
  7. Hehe. Well ive stolen it for El Kernow earlier in June so sowrryyy.
  8. Ahahaha. Hgj's, sounds like some new stimulant. :lol:Looks like upper winds next week will be southerly or south easterly for a time - PERFECT for here. 28th July was a southerly too
  9. Early next week looks very similar to the 28th July 2008 storms which brought a rash of severe storms from the West Country into the West Midlands. Here looks a prime region for some home grown juicyness!!!
  10. Surely with the ECM temperatures early next week could reach 33/34c in any sun. We've reached 29/30 under about 12c uppers so surely the likes of gfs are underestimating a bit.
  11. All I can say this evening is that I think some members here are down right weird. Won't mention names though. But like botty said a general feel by some that we must have that Monday feel. We can't enjoy ourselves too much can we....
  12. 30c reached again! Far fewer clouds than the last couple of days!
  13. El Brumo last year but I actually got to experience El Kernow in Falmouth around the 8th June this year. Cracking 2 hour intense storm but the lightning was about for 6 or so hours. Intense rain and some of the most incredible thunder. Arguably it was the most severe storm in the UK for 2013 so far.
  14. I thought you longed for weather like this!?!?29c here. Could break 30c for the 4th time this week!
  15. Clouds are very small here. Not many of them. 29c now - very hot.
  16. 28c at 1pm. Very deep blue skies with no haze or cloud thus a stronger sun. If it stays this way we could breach 30c again!
  17. Still 21c. So lovely. Please invest in some better fans or an air con guys. Even a decent fan will cool things nicely. Dont open your windows until well into the evening. You can cope when your abroad so you should cope here guys!
  18. Still 21c here! Love it though. Can just walk around freely. Im sure some of you need to invest in better fans or actually get an air con system like I have. Its so much better. No need for all the complaining then. I just hope the CFS isnt right for August. Could be a stinker at times. But whatever happens this month and a fairly decent June will mean this summer is by far the best since 2006!
  19. I would expect any early thundery potential to get downgraded. It already has for this Sunday really.
  20. As far as I'm aware everyone is accepting the thundery element and thus possibly becoming wetter next week but this isn't till around Thursday or Friday for most. You state after this things become uncertain yet you say you can't see where there is confusion. Well uncertainty implies possible confusion to me.....
  21. Noticeable how wunderground stations in our area are at 29-31c though east of Birmingham it's 27-28.
