I often agree with your thoughts mushy but I think I'd say to you don't rest low 20s as no summer is over here comes autumn. It's still very respectable And a damn sight better than last year. It doesn't look too much of a washout yet anyway so good for your business right? So don't get too pessimistic. I love the heat as much as you do but the charts ahead still offer some decent days. It is just I thought the autumnal mention in your posts earlier were a little ott - perhaps a little sad feelings going round because there is no proper hot weather on the way soon. Understandable but a bit ott!

Snooze fest for here. Very unlikely to be anything. Showers out west seem to be fading, skies are messy and the see storms clearly suggest the instability is over there.

Probably will be a no show today. Very messy skies little on the radar and the storms in the SE clearly demonstrate all the instability is out there.

Hope you enjoyed those storms guys. Looks like lots of lightning. Shame the same wont happen here despite all that heat yesterday.

Same underprediction here. We were forecast 28-29c on Thursday but all parts saw at least 30c round here with most actually 31-33c!

Final temp actually 32.5c. What a scorcher. Low to moderate risk of a thundery shower/storm today (Friday) but looks like this heat will go out with a whimper in all honesty.

Yep flying ants in force this evening. Some were out last Monday here too though.

Classic Spanish plume clouds here. Shame there will be no or very little in the way of thundery activity to accompany this.

32c looks to be our maximum! Brilliant scorching day and classic plume Clouds. Sadly no thunderstorms to wave it off.

Indeed whilst I'm sure the Shetlands is nice, you must generally have one if the most ugly climates out there. Some nice blustery snow showers in winter maybe but god it very rarely gets beyond mild in summer doesn't it. Horrible!

30c now - really risen fast since the cloud cleared. Even the clouds heading for the sun have rapidly gone! Truly med like day!!! Nice to have a brief reminder if the last heatwave! Could actually turn out even hotter!!!

Almost cloudless now but the only clouds always seem to track towards the sun then when under it they explode in size!!! Thankfully the breeze swiftly moves them on. Approaching 29.5c now.

Plenty of sun here 26c. Little too much moisture in the air though with some Clouds hanging around. Glad I'm not up in Shropshire though. Wonder what Conor is thinking lol.

July has been outstanding here. During those 3 weeks it was brilliant to wake up and expect pretty much clear blue skies every day. And a nice thundery treat to finish. One of the best summer months of the 2000s thus far!! 9.5/10. A loss of 0.5 because it wasn't sunny and hot in the first And last few days. :lol:

June was fantastic in the west - ok it was never hot but very pleasant and plenty of sun at times so yes Easterners, it may not have been great in your back yards but for us in the west, this has been the sunniest and warmest summer in a long time and yes its much different to the last few summers.
