  1. At least in Southern Cornwall over the Winter I will get some of the longest daylight hours in the country! However its still rather insignificant as the days are still pretty short. Dread to think how depressing it is in the Shetland Isles at that time!
  2. Mild at best today. Annoyed to see how much cloud tomorrow will now see. Monday looks good though. Pretty much everywhere suffers more cloud tomorrow, except Cornwall!!! Cant wait to get back there. At least there will have some of the best sun amounts over Winter too!
  3. Yep, I dont mind a bit of the extra darkness around Christmas to make the Lights have that extra effect. Other than that the darkness is just a nuisance and unhealthy in long bouts. Just think, by September 21st, we are half way there till things are on the upward trend again!
  4. Nope, just about 24c though. Was very humid despite the cloud. Did turn dark very early tonight though. Rather misty too.
  5. Whilst I still dont think much will happen, esp for the South, the NMM suggests the West Midlands region will have some of the greatest instability in the southern portion of the UK.
  6. Opp North. A bit more than I expected but still dont expect anything down south over here.
  7. Where? Nothing recently. Whilst every situation is different it seems a few have not learnt from past events. Very rarely does this set up deliver imo.
  8. Very funny but Im sorry, there is nothing that shows me there will be Thunder. You will 90% be likely disappointed. Very isolated rumbles I wont exclude but it seems some like yourself are expecting proper storms. Its not happening.
  9. Dont understand where the Met Office are getting this thundery potential from. Chris Fawkes last night was ramping it up like nothing before. The charts show NO thundery potential. They are just covering themselves. Just a usual rain band tonight folks.
  10. Looks like tonights rain will sit just East of here. Heading for another rather dry month here imo.
  11. Does it? Doesnt appear to be any real thundery potential - just a few heavy bursts of rain.
  12. A rather disappointing day in the SE today especially in London with on and off rain today on my visit there. Sun broke through a little later. Didnt stop a good day out though. Weather was far better at home though.
  13. I take it you have quite a way to travel to school with that early start then! Thankfully for most wake up times which is 7 for many, it should be the end of September before any darkness around waking up, maybe early October.
  14. Precisely, I dont know about other regions but for us in the Midlands, a very good summer. Sure August has been very average but June was pretty sunny, average temps, July was just outstanding and August has been a mix of everything. Im happy with that!
  15. Some lovely charts for next week again but with changes still happening with the weekend it could all go wrong again, and probably will.
  16. Sun is back out here. Let me guess it isn't in boring Shropshire
  17. Yeah the sun has only just gone here. Warm. Hoping it at least stays dry as we're supposed to be having a BBQ later.
  18. Yep sadly this week looks rubbish now. Thursday should defo be very warm but Friday massively downgraded now. Still can't complain it's been a good summer!
  19. Don't forget the latest forecast for Cornwall and the Channel Islands is till being updated every day with other features including 2-5 Day Forecast and Latest Observations all available at www.cciweather.co.uk
  20. A pleasant afternoon here with it becoming increasingly sunny. Warm too. 21c.
  21. Below average? Looks like its tanking very close to the mean actually. But given all these changes youd suggest there will be more to come right. Certainly nothing certain for the weekend onwards yet. I recommend you highlight such uncertainties in your post.
  22. C'mon mushy were still going to have some very warm temperatures. It's goings to be very useable, enjoyable and good for your business. I get the feeling because its not going to be 32c them this is going to equal automatic failure. This weekend is still changing loads and so I don't know why so many are approaching it with such certainty.
  23. Beautifully warm and sunny. Very few cloud interruptions. 23c. Wonder if we can go for 30c again this week?
  24. 18Z GFS good up to Friday/Saturday then a trough gets stuck over us before renewed HP in FI. Does seem a rather progressive run however and doubt such changes will be so quick. Not saying that because I want the heat/warmth to last longer but to me it does seem a little against the overall trend at present, but who knows, others may fall in line.
