Christ We still have moaners despite all the glorious sun. It depends on where the air has originated from and what has mixed into the process imo. We are seeing 24c becing recorded so very warm for us in the west. Its just the Easterly winds hampering things slightly and because that is especially colder than normal and hence why temps may be slightly less.

Anyone around Plymouth and SE Cornwall spotting any lightning in the Channel? More storms crossing the channel. Although weaker, they are doing well thus far and cant rule them making landfall as they are not too far away actually!
The current weather and charts have a much more pre 2007 feel about them. Heights willing to build, last night we had overnight imports of thunderstorms to the South coast despite cold seas etc.
Arguably the most pleasant summer weather that has been prolonged for some years here.
Back in the Midlands next Sunday (16th) and its looking like any Atlantic breakdown will be feeble and looks like the Falmouth Sun could be coming your way guys.
I must say, it does feel like there are much stronger heights willing to go across Europe and the UK thus far. In previous years any high pressure ridges have been weak but some strong red colours on the charts. The CFS recently has been very keen on hot/high pressure weather for July. Interesting times ahead with an Atlantic breakdown next week being watered down/put back however some showers/rain next week is very likely.
Even in Falmouth we had some cloud off the Channel today but by 3pm it was gloriously sunny again and the forecast is for continuous sun again till at least Monday now.
Hope your enjoying the sunshine guys. Tomorrow will be our 7th day of almost non stop sunshine down here. By the end of this spell it could be 2 weeks worth!
Perhaps to be replied to me by PM or in the Summer 2013 thread to save clogging this thread up but what are your latest views in to the rest of summer? Surely not as bad as last year?
After the last few days ive enjoyed with non stop sunshine, enjoying it with friends, having a laugh, exploring our wonderful coastline... I WOULDNT CHANGE THIS WEATHER FOR THE WORLD!
