Good morning! Well looks like a very warm humid spell for next week but increasingly unsettled especially for southern Britain and if the models stick to there output this morning the news maker next week will be flooding issues over parts of the country which have not had much rain so far this month

Good Evening everyone! The Spanish Plume is giving well above temperatures in France rather than Spain, The Uk may well see one hot day , and then the Atlantic comes in for awhile , pressure builds next week, for a while , and then the undulating jet stream starts again , build of pressure across the Artic , another plume ? Good news as we go into July for growers and gardeners your garden will be warm and wet

Model Output Discussion - The Start Of Summer

Good Evening All and Happy Summer Solstice! The two models ecm and gfs are just to break this plume apart from the extreme version we had a few days ago, Just like the bitter East winds in Winter which disappear without notice...! Yes there is a plume on the way and yes thunderstorms , But Plumes are notouriously hard to predict....Anyway enjoy the upcoming weather -

Evening everyone! A plume coming up , computer models don't do plumes very well, so for those who are looking for the details in a weeks time will be sadly dissapointed! . But yes the semi reliable time-frame T+96 shows some impressive thunderstorms. Pointless talking about later next week, and talking about extremes July 1918 saw saw amazing thunderstorms etc the synoptic set up was a bit like the forthcoming plume .in Surrey 28 mms of rain fell in eleven minutes ,extreme by anyone's standards that's over an inch in that time frame..? WOW,!!! -

Good Evening Folks! The models contrast so differently even by T+120. High level of Shannon Entropy, The gfs is too extreme in its output I feel, past that timescale, but pluming lovely for some in the days ahead. -

Good Evening All!! Good news for next week it does get warmer and drier for a while. But still the model suite is very hazy in the outlook and any substantial build of pressure is is now very unlikely...High level of Shannon entropy, but there is potential for again next week to receive copious amounts of rain somewhere in the UK ...Watch this space Oh and 2012... -

To be honest anything remotely summer like is always at day ten, a bit like gold at the end of a rainbow
