  1. A Gentle, kind weekend for many of us....after that into next week Ecm shows more settled conditions allbeit with some showers and Gfs shows it warming up significantly but with thundery rain, especially for the south.. !!!
  2. The Jet Stream is Playing Hells Game with the models, If I Snuff it out a drier bank holiday but changing again next week...
  3. I'm not really bothered about the extended outlook the Weekend looks lovely ,very useable weather . ......Certainly going to make people feel much happier ,sunshine , warm days and light winds allbeit some cold nights and ground frost looks likely in some areas...!
  4. Good Post, there is nothing in the models showing heatwaves or anything really settled ,hints but that's all..!!!
  5. Encouraging signs for the Bank Holiday ,can't wait for much needed warmth and dry. But, the usual Caveats apply to that this far out .
  6. I wonder if this year's Summer will share a similar fate to Summer 1954? Just look at the heat to the East of us...!!!
  7. It's certainly possible.... Look at the charts from 1975 and now...PS the world is Cooling ...
  8. The outlook screams...As Elvis Presley sang we are caught in a trap...Yes the models still show a southern jet stream...Northern Blocking low level jet stream , never that warm ...But ...strong sunshine, instabilty and wind convergence Yes we are looking at some potent thunderstorms. ..!
  9. To be honest Ecm is screaming and shouting and crawling back to Gfs...in the ten day period! Before then plenty of showers to come northern half of uk sleet snow southern half well perhaps wintry on high ground.....would not be surprised at some snow at low levels even for southern uk this coming week allbeit very temporary. ...
  10. Slim pickings for anyone who wants some warmth....welcome rain for some , but looking at the overall pattern , in the next ten days still cold with night time frosts next week , the low pressure for next weekend looks like ebbing further south ...
  11. The cold continues, allbeit with some incursions from the Atlantic....
  12. Charts like this are very rare in early May...wish I could check up tonight on historical data but have no time to do so.....but the cold continues ...I I would not be surprised for snow to appear even in southern Britain...in the following days....!
  13. Cold is the overall pattern ....and we greet May Brrhhhh. PS not much rain in southern Britain..this week ....but night time frosts and Wintry showers will see us into May....
  14. This is not unprecedented, or that unusual .......June the 3rd 1975 it snowed in some southern parts of Britain....! Looks cold next week...and into early May. ..
  15. I think next week Spring gets colder...it steps up a gear even some Wintry showers in the southern half of the UK.....
  16. Sunday into Monday and Tuesday enough instabilty from the Atlantic to create some beautiful and potent storms....Media forcasts won't nail this to the last minute....
  17. A very Blocked pattern but in the wrong place for warmth....lots of dry weather to come in the next ten days ahead ,Early next week potential for some slow moving perhaps severe thunderstorms for England and Wales in picticular. ...looking forward to the potential. ..!
  18. Snowed today with some Beefy April showers ,contrary to BBC forecast , even started settling ......April 2008 saw a dumping of snow about 3 to 4 inches on a Sunday morning very early hours here quite stunning to wake up too.....
  19. Snow showers in Evesham tonight, bitter cold wind ....
  20. Looking and scanning the Ecm and Gfs we are not losing the cold and dry weather for a good while yet....!
  21. The Artic plunge gets weakened down somewhat midweek , but gets renewed late week into the weekend . April showers are certainly on the cards this year , Wintry ones at that , but the overall theme remains the same drier than average but colder than average. .....!
  22. The chart you used shows strong Diurnal temperatures across most of the nation. I'm not sure you're Cool nights is the appropriate terminology in this case in all respect Subzero nights but warm sunny days....!
  23. Just scanning through the Ecm and Gfs and to be honest a Well below average first half of the month ,for temperatures, a well below average month for precipitation again first half ............really not good for Growers and gardeners and with some extremely low dew points the humidity will be ultra low as well in fact we have had some extremely dry air of late I can tell by my nose ..great Hygrometer!!! A very interesting Spring with some snow surprises too.....!
