It's all about dewpoints, I've seen it snow when surface temperature is about 5 degrees and dewpoints are well below freezing and conversely when dewpoints and surface temperatures are around 0c/32f I've seen it rain! Your area today has seen dewpoints at zero or just above...

As regards Saturdays Developing situation, the key word is developing ,really no point of talking who's going to get snow at the moment, the forecast will go down right to the wire, as regards snowfall, but it does look to be a bitterly cold day for all.....

Not so sure why you are using the "Cool" phrase this coming week, after all there's ,snow, frost, wind in the equation...it will feel bitter cold at times especially since its been mild,...Cool is a term you use in the summer when temperatures drop and it goes cooler...☺

A real sense of amusement when I was reading some of the comments on here. As regards snow next week, let's get the cold in first, then talk about the Snow. 2010 was a fine example of this case here where I live in Worcestershire. Computer models and even the Met office model never forecast snow on a picticular day in December about two weeks or so before Christmas for my location, can't tell you the exact date as I've not got my weather records with me. But up until two weeks before Christmas it was fridgid cold but bone dry and the forecast was still bone dry for where I live...it started snowing at minus 1c and by the time it finished it was minus 3c with 9 inches of snow......Moto , don't get hung up on snow cover forecasts, they can be wrong write down to zero...

All in All, was the Cop26 worth all the rigmarole of hundreds of High Furluting Egotistical, brain washing dictating scaremongering people spending all that energy on a conference that nowadays could be done online throughout the World. .? No. I was brought up a Jehovahs Witness and not been one for many years ,but I know what brain washing is! If I was asked to take a verse out of the Bible which I was forced fed ,it would be " Man cannot direct his own step" . So this climate conference just like all the others will bring us back to the same full stop when they issue the next Cop26. ......

Apart from the benefit of local industry, this summit just like the rest will be a waste of time and Money. All the energy involved planes ,trains and cars emitting more C02 into the atmosphere, just contrary to what the summit is all about....Its a BIG party for those involved and the Tax payer will be paying for it...

We are being scaremongering to the hilt , they have had a good Life on Fossel fuels and now they demonise democracy. .......
