Well, my children’s school have finally succumbed and given them a snow day (despite there being no more snow on the ground than yesterday!) -
Steady snizzle still in Reigate, only noticeable if you have to actually go in it (like I just did when Mrs Plum made me go to the shed...) still brass monkeys out there, probably 1cm of additional snow on our decking.

It’s a glorious place - when I was a scout we often stayed at the youth hostel there - I remember trekking up to holmbury hill in the snow one night... i think we are pretty close close to the heavy stuff now Martyn...

My mum is looking after my boys in Reigate - do I need to get home pronto to allow her to get back to horsham or is it ok there?

As in everything is ridiculously icy as the rain freezes on to everything? Seems unlikely at this juncture

No. It’s still well below freezing here - the flakes are very tiny. There’s a small chance of freezing rain tomorrow I think but at the moment it’s all snow

Fairly steady but very fine snow / snizzle - probably a 2 or 3 on the Murr Scale in reigate

A little more snow up in chipstead and kingswood and the back roads are lethal!
