    Snowing in Reigate - just driven home from choir practice and settling everywhere apart from gritted routes.

    Only when I was a scout and we used to night hikes from the youth hostel - Richard and I are videoing (slowly) the Greensand way but we started from leith Hill and are walking east but we will go further west!

    In answer to both, yes I have been to the waterfall. I have done two videos last Thursday with my friend Richard Vobes, aka the Bald Explorer... the tower: The waterfall: (we also did a couple of videos around leith Hill tower and one on Friday Street earlier this year...) I’ve done quite a few with him now!

    That sounds similar to what I saw on Reigate Hill this morning. btw, amazing part of the world you are in - I found the tower at Broadmoor last week...

    You must have had some snow this morning there? I was at Broadmoor round the back of Leith Hill last Thursday and there was a tiny amount of snow then as well!

    Well, there was next to no snow in Reigate bar some pretty ‘dusting’ - on Reigate Hill and Banstead Commons, around an inch...

    Interestingly, it’s still below freezing according to the grammar school’s weather station: http://www.weather.rgsinfo.net/index.htm my guess is that the tarmac hasn’t had a chance to cool down!

    @abruzzi spur - you can imagine the chaos and carnage here with many kentimetres of snow in Reigate ... (there’s a heavyish dusting - looks pretty but the roads are clear!) sadly not enough to toboggan on - 15 miles west of here it seems they have done well

    I’ve just got back from the curry in Redhill... still snowing lightly in Reigate with merely the tiniest of dustings... good amber warning this!

    My mother in law is babysitting the kids tonight whilst me and Mrs Plum go out for a curry with friends in Redhill. Mother in law has come prepared with an overnight bag in case she can’t get home (she lives a mile away! ?)
