  1. Interesting, I work in the planning department at Reigate council and I have just taken a call from Surrey CC that they are initiating their ‘snow contigency plan’ - this is where they are alerting the boroughs of potential disruption and we have to put information on our website, clear pavements etc...
  2. When people say that it’s snowing - please can they write their location in the text - anyone on a mobile can’t see your location!
  3. Maybe tonight - it’s very hard to predict... as others have said, a very light flurry in Reigate
  4. The air coming from the continent is very dry - hence the lack of frost...
  5. Panic not guys and girls; even if it’s over by Friday, most of us will have seen some snow... however, still time to change and the Met are currently having none of it - see Reigate’s forecast for Friday...
  6. The mean appears to keep it all as snow - see the 144hrs op and mean for info...
  7. Depends for what timing, but the charts are showing you remaining very cold (and potentially snowy) for some time
  8. The 0z GFS at 144 pushes the low much further north and parts of the south east are in positive uppers - compare this to the mean that keeps everyone in -5 uppers - the track of this will vary greatly over the next few days. Panic not! op Mean Edit, the 144 and 168 ECM show a prolonged continuation of the cold as the uppers come flooding down the country again!
  9. I’m guessing this is off the 18z gfs run as was the rust forecast? My assumption is it won’t be like this - it seems suspect to drag the warm uppers up and ‘blow away’ the cold so quickly...
  10. In 48 hours, the GFS decimates the cold pool - seems incredibly quick to me... 120 hours second, 168 hours first...
  11. Only 42 hours away before the -5 Line makes a prolonged stay in the UK...
