  1. Maybe but what heat! It's all to play for - I'll be keeping off the tops for sure.
  2. Jet still in Washing Machine mode over weekend. Normality? of sorts - best for SE
  3. Ironically - in Winter this would be a snowfest. The rain direction unusually is from the East to West coming over the Pennines and reaching us on the Fylde.
  4. Sunday is looking marginally better - but obviously a good form of navigation should be advised.
  5. Seathwaite - Yes a good route - scramble up past Taylorgill Force and follow Styhead Gill past Kern Knotts Crag. On to the Girdle but maybe not "Thread the Needle" then up the scree of Hell Gate. You could cheat a bit and start from Honister Quarry at 1500asl...! So many good hostelries in Keswick Wainwrights opp George Fishers - you may bump into a certain Mr Alan Hinkes OBE Iain
  6. The Lakes are great in any (well most) weather! Just watch where your putting your feet...... Where were - are you heading if I may ask? Iain
  7. Comparison From the archives June 1982 - stopped out all night and the morning was lively - similarities?
  8. To be perfectly fair - we really did need the rain even up here in the NW.
  9. Bank Holiday Sun is always welcome - but it's so bone dry here even in West Lancashire - the River Ribble can be easily waded across in some areas (not that I recommend it!)
  10. Bank Holiday Monday anyone? ....make the most of this week.
  11. Half decent if short event yesterday in Preston at 18:00 - good electrical activity with plenty of convection especially the tail end squall.
  12. Awake Fylde coast snow was forecast by some apps 8pm. Tonking it down atm but it’s definitely the wetter of the ppn variety and not white. Terriers out later then cabin up.
