  1. Very Warm & Muggy bits of cloud but sun breaking through not a breath of wind, Current Temp: 21.1c Max: 21.1c Im sure thats far too warm already
  2. Too be honest i think these lastest runs are a load of toosh, i'm sure it'll turn hot and thundery soon.....one can only hope
  3. very warm already here, clear blue skies bit of a warm breeze, and current temp 21.2c think we could hit 24c maybe even 25c today.
  4. My perfect year would go as follows: Spring: Gradual warm up. March: Cold & snowy with a few mild spells ( March 2006 would have been spot on but there was a lack of snow and cold) April: Gradual warm up, from the low teens, to the high teens, and a mixed bag weather wise. ( April 2006 ) May: Warm and sunny with a few spring thunderstorms, and no Euro monsoon. ( May 2004, i dont think there was one that year) Summer: Mainly very warm & thundery. June: very warm & sunny with frequent spanish plumes (abit like the last fortnight of June 2005, but lasting all month) July: Same as June but abit warmer. temps in the mid-high 20's. ( a slightly cooler version of last year) August: Really hot & sunny, temps in the 30's, before turning slightly cooler, with thunder at the end. ( August 2003/95 ) Autumn: Vise versa of Spring Gradual cool down September: Warm Sunny spells alternating with wet and breezy spells, and the odd thunderstorm. ( Sept 2005) October: Mild wet & windy ( Oct 2005) November: Mild start but turning cooler with some decent snow, ( Nov 2005 ) Winter: Basically a Winter we'll never experiance...again 62/63 is very much spot on. December: Cool and sunny temps in single figures, turning very cold for xmas with heavy snow and continuing into new year (Dec 2005 was close but wasnt as cold nor did we have any snow) Janurary: Cold and sunny with frequent snow spells, temps struggling into single figures. February: Real winter, very cold temps struggling to get just above freezing and snow and blizzards gallore.
  5. The Second half of June 2005 was amazing wish we could have a whole month like that, even though temps didnt get above 27c (and that was only on one day, it was mostly 24-25c) we had the most speactacular thundery outbreak i've ever witnessed had nearly two inches of rainfall that day, nearly one inch fell in 25 minutes! and not only that we were pounded with six thunderstorms in a day! A record still to be beaten and i doubt it will be, and we still hit 24c and it wasnt even sunny. As for this June i think its gonna be very warm at times indeed, early and late i think we will see two big heatwaves, with max temps hitting around 32c-34c and quite widely as well and some big storms as well for some areas, sounds abit farfetched, but i have a strong hunch  For the C.E.T never done this as i dont do it with my station (i do maximum temperature averages) i reckon it'll be 16.9c. 22.7c for my Maximum Temperature.
  6. Had a suprisingly very warm day here, skies near enough completely clear, have been since about 3, and current temp is 23.6c had a max of 24.2c, must say im very suprised and im still not conviced that is right but it does feel rather warm.
  7. Very warm, and so early on, clouds have broken so sunny periods, but still abit of cloud about, current temp 19.8c, max just a few mins ago of 20.1c, going to be warm one today i think.
  8. Warmest day of the year so far here, current temp 20.6c, max of 22.4c earlier, sky has become more clearer now has been pretty cloudy most the day with glimmers of hazy sunshine every now and then.
  9. How long do you think it'll be before we start to see any effects, that is if it actaully is changing
  10. Thats what i've been debating to myself the last year or so, i reckon it would but then i'm no professional but the rate that fresh water is going into the sea's i think its quite possible, and might do enough to give us a different climate e.g. I think if it did we would still get quite warm summers but winters would be very cold.
  11. Just had a feeble attempt at a Hailstorm, one big bolt of lightning loud crackly thunder, and that was it light rain and small hail since, temp has plummeted from 10.4c to 4.6c.
  12. Ah, try again this is of a heavy hail/snow shower last monday
  13. This is my first photo entry so here goes, its of a nasty soft hail/snow shower we had last monday, only lasted 10 mins, erm how do you get the photo up lol sorry for being thick
  14. An unexpected warm day here highest temperature of the year broken again, third day in a row now as we recorded 15.1c on monday, 16.4c yesterday and a max of 18.3c today. Mostly sunny until mid afternoon when a few towering cumulus clouds appeared, very humid as well i think there may be some storms tonight/tommorow.
  15. Clear and sunny just abit of haze, quite humid Temp 11.7c and rising quickly Humidity- 88%
  16. Again wall to wall sunshine and a little haze, warmest March temperature recorded here today, breaking yesterday's new record and March 29th 2006's record of 15c and 15.1c, with a high of 16.4c today ( bearing in mind my station was only set up December 2005 ) hopefully it'll we'll finally hit the magic 17c tommorow.
  17. I have to admit its the first winter i've ever known to be snowless, and what i find weird is that its snowed here the last few days ( albeit breif light/moderate snow showers ) but it didn't snow at all during winter, and the snowfall we had the last few days is the first we've had for a year, longest i've gone without seeing snow. There's hope for next winter, providing El Nino doesn't show its ugly face.
  18. Spoke to soon just had a heavy hail/snow/sleet shower and ice has settled against objects on the ground, about an inch deep, melting rapidly though
  19. Had a brilliant snow shower last night, not big flakes but loads of it coming down, had sleet/snow flurries all morning, the big showers seem to be just missing us as usual, but nevertheless i can still rub it in, i was right about us getting snow, since everybody i told didn't think so, lol.
  20. Very soggy day here in Paignton, finally stopped raining for the time being, had 40mm of it today so far, current temp 10c. Having to use the old mercury one as digital one got blown over and got rainwater in it so isnt working at the moment
  21. Hello All, i'm new and this is my first post.
