  5. Large violent tornado just north of Tuscaloosa, it looks to the untrained eye that its heading in the direction of Cullman? Worrying if it is Another large one near Hamilton, passing to the north this time thankfully
  6. The cell below the Pickens one could clip Birmingham itself but the two cells below that could give a direct hit if they keep the same track.
  7. Another possible tornado at Pickens, they reckon this could be violent
  8. This outbreak is getting more insane by the minute. Just showed some damage shots from Cullman looks pretty bad.

  16. Showing the nice cell near Cullman on the ABC birmingham stream. Just managed to see a funnel coming down from the wall cloud. EDIT - Tornado now visible!
  17. Got some nice towering cumulus overhead now, the wind appears to have switched to the west after being from the south/south west all day.
  18. Right well my first Virtual Chase prediction is going to be St. Charles, Missouri for today me thinks for todays risk. As for tommorow i'm torn between somewhere along the eastern side of OK and Missouri, i'm abit of a novice at this but im hoping to pick this up over the next few weeks.
  19. My initial thoughts on this summer are it being another cool and pretty wet one, as im thinking this current La Nina is in it for the long haul. Which if it persists this summer, combined with the negative turning QBO i think it could give a cool wet pattern. However if La Nina weakens away to leave neutral conditions in the Pacific then i think we could possibly get a decent-ish summer, maybe something along the lines of 2005, warm but with cool wet spells. But i've also had some interest in the stratosphere the last few weeks, as it has been pretty cold the combination of that with +QBO has left us in this very dry and increasingly warm pattern, the ozone levels have too plummeted across the north pole which can cause stratospheric cooling, so with that in mind if the stratosphere stays cold during the next few months we could have a warm and very dry pattern persist through until summer and perhaps beyond, but that's just my novice thoughts .
