  1. we have just witnessed tgree tornados just north of dighton a wedge a satellite and a stove pipe tornado we all have either pics or film of this what an amazing view we are all heading just south of dighton to intersept another one
  2. we are not going to catch the cell in front of us so we are heading soth to intercept the cells around garden city should be with them in around 15 mins
  3. Thanks for that NL we are about 2 miles out at the mo just taking some presip we will aproach with care. Andy there was roughly around 45-55 strikes a minute this morning and all of them CGs landing all around the motel
  4. we are currently heading twards dighton just inside finney county it's looking good at the mo the cells got good shape as we follow it Ian
  5. sorry andy it wast hat bad we did not leave the room and I was still half asleep and was in ore of what I was looking at through the curtins, had I been slightly more focused I would have recorded it shall sleep with the camcorda tonight though as we could be in for a repeat performance today. ps the boys have got footege of the bears cage we sat in last night that they will youtube as soon as we have some spare time Ian

Hi all we are on the move once again, what a night the loudest thunder and brightest CGs from the bears cage that was over our hotel the noise was like explosions going of with the lightning landing in the hotel car park. today looking even better though it will have to go some to top yesterday! shall update you all when we get in position in a few hours Ian

  8. guys we just made it through some of the worst rain curtins we've al ever seen just been watching some amazing lightning disco tech some good CGs what an awsome day we have been chasing storms for eight hours now we are heading to hays for the night looking for some late night food hall or some thing as we have had no lunch or dinner so far and it's 22:10 at the mo im sure when we start the report thread later there will some fab stuff in there for you all
  9. we are in we Keeny and the biggest meso just above our heads were about to blast east as fast as the car can before we gets munched sorry for bad spelling but trying to do ten things at once! ps we are now in the bears cage and stricks are all around us say a prayer for us this could get scary Ian
  10. we are sitting in hill city with the mother ship of super cells skimming past us with rotion markers the bredth of the storm we can not believe the town has not got there tornado siriens on
  11. cone tornado on the ground just west of Oxie have it on camara I hope this is the second twister of the day we are navigating our way round tornado damage we are going to sit in Oxie waiting for the next cell to come up Ian
  12. This is Andy posting on Ian's account. We have just seen the most amazing rotation - Paul has captured the whole caboodle on videocam and everybody says it was the strongest they've ever seen. The tornado touched down just outside Hoxie at 5:20 CDT, and the video briefly shows the debris cloud. Unfortunately we then got involved in a nasty dirt track that swallowed all 3 cars whole. I'm with Nick and Paul travelling back to paved road, the ITV man has been rescued by the local farmer and Dave Ewoldt/Ian/Tom were back with Ian's car waiting for rescue. Photos later but Nick, Ian and myself are covered in mud, and we are currently back at the main paved road just outside of Hoxie, slap bang in the middle of two monster cells. Pray for us :lol: Andy
  13. we were near the reported tornado in gove we are just trying to find a good intersept point maybe have something on camara will check later
  14. we are just about on the I70 on the gove and sheridan county border watching a meso to our left
  15. fresh cells just south garden city we shall be droping souh for in a jiffi ps. we have just passethe tiv we shall be on this cell for a bit longer before heading south
  16. we are heading for the southern cell currently over garden city we can se 2 wall clouds aready on diferent cells its looking good on radar at the mo
  17. just for info we have the guy from ITV tagging us today so shall be fun an added bonus for the guys we are heading southeast at the mo Will udate later Ian
  18. we stopped to watch the cell on 24 just by seibert and the storm forms a meso just above our heads we thought we were going to be tornado damage thankfuly it passes over we start to head east to get a good vantige point and just before we got to Vona we spotted a tornado on the ground out of the back of the car me and Paul saw it I frantickly tried to get a shot off with my camara but the light was not good enough for the shot we will check but were not sure we then sat and watched it try and produce another we then dashed east trying to outrun the updraft and Paul has bagged some amazing lightning bolts we hope to post up te pictures soon we will continue to watch the lightning show for a while then head further east or the night what an amazing days chasing i'm sure the guys will post once we get a base camp for the night Ian
  19. we are sitting just north of the I70 watching a meso form and we can see it starting to rotate as i type thers no markers on barons but theres no mistaking what where watching will keep you all posted
  20. we are just about to core punch a cell with three areas of rotation on barons the cell is in kit carson county near the I70 Ian
  21. we have had fun today chasing a few cells they were never going to produce tornados so was able to core punch without worrying to much currently in north east CO getting ready to punch a few more cores Ian
  22. very much recomended though i'd make sure you've not just eaten as you run the risk of throwing up and that would be not do at all the rep would take a dive we will have to give a go some time when your next local to us
  23. Paul S On Ians Account We are sat on a dirt track just west of Burlington and have a Developing Supercell literally 15 miles in front of us, explosive Updraughts and this is going to move just North of us, the 1st cell of the day Paul S
  24. the boiler maker was not to bad though I was rather full after a great meal and a fair few beers I would not advise that to be your main drink for the evening if you stll want to be walking upright at the end Im glad I managed it though I could not let the team down could I!

Hi all we are now on our way to Plainview TX we have been chasing rain shaft storms not to disimiler to the storms you get in the UK, has been a pleasent day so far not so much action however some of the landscape has been amazing we were 4900 feet above sea level over looking cavens just south of san jon in NM some great views there will post again soon Ian
