Glorious morning and early afternoon sunshine - now overcast slightly with possible shower clouds building up - but the threat of showers is no-way as likely as Saturday and Sunday was.
Gloriously sunny end to a day that started as a washout with heavy showers to begin with, but with the days being so long at the moment plenty of time to turn it around, and it did. BBQ weather almost at the end of the day.
Tim B - I was witness to that heavy storm too, we've had burst of heavy rain showers from about 10am to 12noon today, but like you, I neither heard any thunder of saw any lightning. The radar picks the showers up well this morning.
Quite an intense rain shower here at present, heavy precipation. The radar picks up a nice cluster of showers affecting northern parts of North West England, with Red echo's so someone, somewhere is getting thunder surely , but not here.
Phil is that a webcam your using to get them pics, they're pretty good quality.
It's been dry for a few hours now - still cloudy and fresh with the threat of showers but holding off nicely for time being.
2nd day running with heavy showers no thunder though unlike last night when the showers lost their energy and died away tonight they seem to have a little bit more life in them and are continuing into the night.
It's been a nice warm and pleasant day today with a gentle breeze, almost perfect conditions. The promised cloudy conditions for later have failed to materialize giving a nice sunny end to the day.
The rain cleared pretty quickly than expected today in North West where I live, but it's didn't matter cause it's still be a damp, miserably overcast day. Thought there would be a distint backedge that would allow a few late glimpses of Sunshine but I can't see that happening now. Tomorrow looks better
Very similiar conditions here today, torrential rain about 12 to 1pm and then off and onable showers. Very gloomy, damp, and dull conditions. Sun's got an hangover today, it doesn't want to come out.
Wet, but not heavy at the mo, hoping too get what the Southerner's are getting in a few hours time. BTW anywhere south of Chester is southerly to me lol
First noticeable signs of rain starting to pursue their journey from the grey leaden skies to rest among the remains of a tired and sleepy earth. But at least it's mild
Last night I said it didn't seem as muggy and humid as what other people said, well tonight I'm paying the price, because I've got my fan on full blast and i'm bloody hot!!! n' sticky!!! ...sleep could be in short supply tonight.
mmmmm... not sure about 28.9C though  They only forcasting 29 in the south on Tuesday and that's supposed to be the hottest day in this spell of hot weather.
