After about half an hour of heavyish snow with good sized flakes, it has now gone back to crappy small flakes, which do nothing but melt on impact. Lawn has gone a bit white now though.
Wow, all of a sudden it has switched back to pure snow, I feel that this is going to be the theme of the day - changing every 2 minutes, that's marginality for you though I guess.
Turned to mostly rain now. As Ian suggested earlier my temperature is rising rapidly, 1.3c now, so it is turning out to be a thoroughly wet, cold and miserable day.
I know it is good enough for snow, I mean it isn't making it drop! The radar is doing it's usual trick of showing stuff over me but nothing falling from the sky - so frustrating.
Thanks for that Ian, even though my area isn't your forecasting region it still fills me with hope! Back to now though, temperature not rising at all here and the precipitation is marching closer - could get quite interesting.
Ay up, this is an unexpected position for it to be in! Could get something out of this. Temperature and dew points both favourable here (0.2/-0.7) - bring it on!
Welcome to the forum
It is looking hit and miss, most likely for the East Midlands but BBC are saying anybody in the Midlands shouldn't be surprised to see something wintry. However, it is most likely to be of wet snow so it shouldn't amount to anything significant to be honest.
