We will inevitably get the usual "it's the 3rd/4th lowest on record" from the BBC, which is true. But the ice isn't going to go from record low to record high in a couple of years, which is what the media fail to understand.

I will complain about the bloody heat if I want to, that is the purpose of the WHINING THREAD!! Besides, some of us don't like heat, we don't have to be normal and like it!

I don't like heat. Upto 22c is comfortable, after that I find it unpleasant. I am counting down the days until the end of summer.

Horribly warm and humid today, this is why I hate summer! Glad we are back to good old rain tomorrow.

Yeah I don't think anybody on here has wished for dull and drizzly weather, I think they may be excited by the prospect of an ex-Hurricane visiting our shores - which would bring a bit more than dull and drizzly weather!

I mean really start drawing in, it's still relatively light at 9pm, I am on about dark at 6-7pm, means winter is well on the way!

I hate heat, so this relatively cool summer has been fantastic IMO. I get uncomfortably warm very easily so maybe I am biased. But this is OT so I shall slip back into lurker mode...

Positive rep from me! Out doing my paper round at 10am this morning and I was dripping with sweat, it has been comfortably warm for weeks, this summer has been nowhere as bad as some people make it out to be.

Don't worry RRR, that almost certainly will not happen! Only 3 weeks of summer left by the way, it is almost over . Can't wait til the nights start drawing in and I leave the house in the morning with a chill in the air.

As far as I can see there hasn't been an upturn, just the rate of decline has slowed.

I remember it. Me and my Dad went to Cornwall to get the best view, it was cloudy unfortunately so we couldn't see the eclipse itself, but it went as dark as night. My Dad thought he recorded it, but he left the lens cover on the camcorder -
Know nothing about butterflies, but there have been absolutely loads of white ones.

Need some help in changing my forum photo - it's really annoying me. I have always had problems with this but not to this extent. Every time I try and change my photo it keeps reverting back to the one I have now (the Newcastle away kit with the deckchairs). Anybody else having this problem? Edit: Never mind, fixed it

Well it isn't really much to expect a few consecutive days of warm sunshine without rain - even for Britain that is realistic!
