  1. I'd rate the chances of the all time record going on Thursday at about 50-50. UKV keeps throwing out 38-39c pretty widely, and the EC is showing 36c which usually undercooks it by a couple of degrees. Let's get that record if it's going to be miserably hot anyway.
  2. Why does the unpleasant heat have to wait for the only 2 night shifts I have this month?
  3. The largely pleasant July carries on! Plenty of beer garden-friendly weather which is all you can ask for really.
  4. A very notably dry July so far with little or no measurable rainfall around these parts, grass is starting to brown a little. Very pleasant start to the month in the main though.
  5. Almost perfect summer from my point of view at the moment. Pleasantly warm days and cool nights, could perhaps be a degree or two warmer but the wall-to-wall sunshine is very much welcome!
  6. I know I missed a dreadful couple of weeks in June when I was in the states, but I've been back 10 days and it's been gorgeous aside from Saturday which was just unpleasant.
  7. One of the snowiest cities in the US is Flagstaff!
  8. Looking like a decent start is becoming increasingly likely.
  9. Sadly, any chase for us that day will have to be local to Denver. Quite significant differences in the jet profile between EC and GFS for the first half of the tour.
  10. First official day on EC is looking tasty. Potent southwesterly jet, with spreads of 77/72 up into Kansas.
  11. You're not the only one saying that, quite a number of chasers on Stormtrack saying they'll avoid big risks in Oklahoma. Sounds like a good move, not only to avoid the frustration, but for safety as well. Can you imagine if yesterday panned out as dangerously as it could have?
  12. Early signs are giving me cautious optimism.
  13. Ah I'm in the Baymont too!
  14. GFS goes out to +384 on all sites, that's now 29th May.
  15. I'm in the Baymont so have no idea! I'll probably just get an Uber. My experience of hotel shuttle buses is that you can often be left in arrivals for an eternity, worth a few bucks just to get an Uber with minimal wait.
  16. Beginning of Tour 3 now edging into GFS range. Let the obsessive run watching commence!
  17. Three's Feel at Home plans are superb, you get to use the 3G network of both T-Mobile and AT&T and it rarely dropped out last year. It's included in most of their contract plans.
  18. First T report on the southern end of the cluster, right on the dryline bulge.
  19. For some reason, the warnings aren't coming through to my GRLevel 3
  20. Started the day in Liberal, KS according to Paul on Facebook. Heading down towards Amarillo, might be some weather down that way apparently...
  21. Nope, correct day! Saturday was a bonus day with Sunday day 1.
  22. Met Office saying tomorrow will be "very warm" - in which reality are they living in?!
  23. Haha I'm exactly the same. No worries, any further questions then please do fire away!
  24. It's going to be a long 3 weeks, Ed
